Rainbow Egg Fusion

Spring break is here and the weather is getting a bit better in Upstate NY! I was inspired by the fun colorful Easter eggs in this photo at the Fusion Card Challenge blog...

I loved the colors and shine, so out came my new Rainbow Cover die from The Stamp Market...

I cut various sets of patterned papers then pieced them together. Nuvo Drops in the colors gave it some gloss like the photos.  The sentiment is from The Stamp Market's "Have a Nice Day" set, and the cloud dies are from A Muse Studio.

Disaster did strike during the process...I chose to squeeze my blue drops REALLY hard onto scrap paper next to my card, rather than using a pin, as the bottle was plugged up. Yes, impatience (and muscle😅) led to a bottle explosion which sprayed onto my card on the top right of the rainbow (and left a pool of Nuvo Drops measuring 2 inches wide on my desk)! This card was too pretty to throw away, so I will choose a younger recipient who hopefully won't notice!

Lemonade Fusion

Playing along with the Fusion Card Challenge this week, and was inspired by the woodgrain, neutral colors, letters, and stripes in the inspiration photo!
I used the adorable "Peek-a-boo Pets" and "Market Stand" from Avery Elle!

This combination of sets is SO much fun to create with, and has adorable teeny elements! I kept my pets neutral and fancied up the stand with some paper-piecing.

I heat embossed the sentiment on woodgrain paper and added some Glossy Accents to the glasses, pitchers, and cubes. The coloring was done with Copic markers.

Fun patterned papers from Pebbles "Spring Fling" collection cut with stitched frame dies. On the inside, I stamped an encouraging sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio, "Find the sweet in the sour."

If you're searching for some fun and versatile sets, these sweet Avery Elle stamps and dies are for you! 💕 Thanks for stopping by!

St. Paddy's Day at Fusion

What a fun centerpiece for our inspiration at the Fusion Challenge Blog, and an equally unique sketch!
I didn't have a fun little hat, but for some reason, this little house from PTI's "Tinsel and Tags" Make it Market Kit reminded me of one...

The starting point was this sentiment and label image from Waltzingmouse Stamps "Country Labels 4," as my much loved WMS stamps are always my first stop for any IRISH inspiration !

It's a little difficult to see, but the background is a gingham background stamped in a light ink called "Pebble" from A Muse Studio.

Added a little sunshine from Lawn Fawn, over the layered label that was cut with the coordinating Nestabilities, another WMS stamp from the "Bitty Banners" set, and some fun white and yellow flowers to match the photo.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

PTI Anniversary Challenge: Stripes

The last challenge for PTI's 11th Anniversary celebration.  This time, the challenge was to use stripes!  I paired it with this week's Fusion Card Challenge, using the sketch and the photo for inspiration.

I created a card using the Horizontal Stripes Cover Plate die...

I used sentiments and flowers from Bitty Bouquets to make my little floral spray.  The "thanks" is stamped on a Double-Ended Banner die cut.

I ran the stripes piece through my Cuttlebug with PTI's Woodgrain Impression plate to mirror the wood on the door.

The "friend" from Bitty Bouquet is stamped on vellum and heat embossed in white.  Some layered bouquets dotted with Liquid Pearls, adhesive pearls, and a twine bow to finish it off!

It was such fun to participate in all of the anniversary challenges.  Ordered some new spring things from PTI's release, and hope to use them over February break from school!

Fusion 4th Anniversary Challenge

The Fusion Challenge Blog is celebrating their 4th Anniversary!  They have a lovely challenge photo and sketch for the occasion:

I chose to use the sketch and the inspiration photo, with the sweet Concord & 9th stamp set "Let's Chat"...

I stamped a woodgrain background with a Stampin' Up "Barnwood" background and also embossed PTI's White Linen cardstock with the Woodgrain Impression Plate.

I stamped the cup, the cocoa inside (and cut it out), and heat embossed the marshmallows with white powder, then cut all of the pieces out, layering them with dimensionals.  Made a little "saucer" using a circle Nestabilities die, and added some white embossed leaves from the set for decoration.   The sentiment is on vellum and comes from the Waltzingmouse Stamps' Sewing Box set.

Love the Fusion Challenge, and I'll raise my cocoa mug to the DT for four more years of fun :)!

Fusion Challenge: Red Christmas

An absolutely stunning inspiration photo at the Fusion Card Challenge Blog this week!  It's called Red Christmas, and makes me want to go out and buy a white pitcher and some babies breath and berries :)!!

I ended up making two cards for the challenge...

This is actually my second card, because my first wasn't doing it for me with the color scheme I chose.  For this one, I went with a warmer look, like the photo...

I used WPlus9 Studio's "Very Merry" set and berries from Fresh Cut Florals.  Used PTI's Picnic Plaid Impression plate, too.  Glitter, red and white Liquid Pearls, and Glossy Accents dotted all over on both cards!

My first card uses the same stamp sets, but I went for more of a bold, chalkboard look (thought there had to be a chalkboard sign in that quaint kitchen someplace)! The woodgrain impression plate is from A Muse Studio.  Some white pencil accents around the sentiment to make it look chalk-y :)!

Back to work tomorrow, but hoping I get to keep playing along with all of these awesome holiday challenges, my favorite time of year to stamp!

Fusion: Grateful

Playing along with the Fusion Challenge because I could not pass on an opportunity to make a wreath card, one of my favorite things to stamp!

I turned the sketch 180 degrees and used the Happy Pretty Panels Confetti Cuts and the Fall for You wreath image from Reverse Confetti.

I stamped a plaid background from Echo Park using A Muse Studio's Toffee ink.  The center of the card is wrapped with wood tape, and then I cut the letters from the same tape.  The "Thanksgiving" is from a WMS stamp set.

I colored the leaves with a mix of Copic markers, then added Stickles, some Liquid Pearls red berries, and a little twine around the sentiment.  So sparkly!

Surf's Up!

The Jersey Girl in me had to play along with this week's Fusion Challenge!  Can't wait for our NJ trip to Manahawkin/LBI next month!

I chose to use the car from PTI's "Happy Camper" to make a background...

I added my sentiment with PTI's Headline Alphabet and some surfboards from Free Spirit Boy by Claire Brennan.

I embossed my background with PTI's Woodgrain Impression Plate, then added some twine that I braided for an embellishment.  SUCH fun inspiration this week!

Chalkboard Baking Inspiration!

I absolutely love the picture and sketch this week at the Fusion Card Challenge, and the DT had tons of awesome inspiration for us!

I took out an old clear set that I love from Hero Arts called "What's Cooking?" I had to get it when I saw the cute apron and little pot holders!

I made my chalkboard by stamping in Versamark then heat embossing with white powder.  I colored around and inside the images with white and colored pencils. The "YUM" was cut with PTI's Headline Alphabet dies, and the windows with PTI's Trio die.  The sentiments are from Ways to Say:  Birthday.  The tag is cut with Tiny Tags with a sentiment from Mixed Messages. The cup and donut are from Lawn Fawn's "Love You a Latte."

Topped it off with some Baker's Twine, or course :)!

Quatrefoil Tulips

A beautiful photo at the Fusion Card Challenge called "Navy Patterns" this week!

I was drawn to the pillows and those beautiful yellow (my favorite color) tulips!

I used PTI's Tulip Time and Beautiful Berries sets, and a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's "Doodle Buds."

The quatrefoil pattern is a DCWV stencil that I used with Wendy Vecchi's white embossing paste.  Added a few Glossy Accent "dew" droplets to my flowers and leaves, too :)

Such gorgeous inspiration cards from the DT members and players this week at Fusion Card Challenge!

Easter Challenge

At the Fusion Card Challenge, it's all about Easter and I was really inspired by this gorgeous photo!

I used A Good Egg by Claire Brennan to start my card...

I placed the egg over some white cardstock embossed with PTI's Woodgrain Impression plate, and some lovely Chicken Scratch gingham paper, too!

I have started quite a collection of mini stamped flowers with coordinating dies!  I can't seem to get enough of them!  This card has flowers and leaves from PTI's Bloom & Grow and Petite Pots, WPlus9's Fresh Cut Florals, and Simon Says Stamps' Artsy Flower Parts.

Loving the spring sunshine today here in upstate NY :)!

Fusion Card Challenge's 3rd Anniversary!

I was delighted to be asked by my talented stamping friend Michelle Leone to join in Fusion Card Challenge's 3rd Anniversary celebration!  Just look at this inspiration photo and sketch, so gorgeous!

I chose this sweet Stampin' Up mug from "Cup of Cheer" for my card...

I was inspired by the gorgeous photo and some elements of the sketch.  I included a Nordic print stripe from Claire Brennan's Nordic Winter set (that I believe is now for sale at GinaK Designs), a circle stencil from Heidi Swapp with texture paste for the snow, and little leaves and berries from WPlus9's "Be Merry" set.  I cut a tree branch from grey woodgrain paper using a Memory Box die, and added some pine branch die cuts colored with Copics and glittered up with Crystal Snow.

I can't wait to see what the DT members came up with, and to watch the gallery fill up with gorgeous winter creations!  Thanks again to sweet Michelle, and a big congratulations to the Fusion team for creating a challenge blog that ALWAYS inspires!

Happy 1st Anniversary, Fusion!

It's the Fusion Challenge's one year anniversary celebration, and the DT members chose this lovely photo to celebrate...

I chose to use just the photo as my inspiration...

The banners made me think of this My Mind's Eye "Love Me" paper that is so cheerful and sweet!  I made a matching mini banner at the bottom using the papers and a tiny banner die included in the Polaroid Fun dies from Mama Elephant.  I decided to make a chalkboard mason jar using a sentiment from Gift Card It, jar images from Candy Jar Christmas Fillers, and the Jar Essentials dies from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

Can't wait to see what Fusion has in store for their second year, there has been such inspiration already!  :)

Gingham Christmas

The Fusion Card Challenge has pinecones and GINGHAM  featured in their inspiration photo!  How could I not play along?

I chose to use just the photo for my card, although I really loved the stars in the sketch!

I stamped the label from Very Vintage Christmas by Waltzingmouse Stamps in Versamark, heat embossed it with white powder, then cut with a circle nestie.  The large pine bough is stamped and cut using the Festive Foliage set and pinecone dies, also from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  The mini pine bough and berries on the sentiment label are from Papertrey Ink's Tinsel and Tags Kit.

I spritzed the background snowflake embossed paper with Heidi Swap Shine in white and added some gingham ribbon and a rusty jingle bell.

A gorgeous photo and samples from the Fusion Challenge Team, can't wait to see what's in store from them in the New Year :)!
