Pine Throwdown

This week at the Color Throwdown are colors by Lori that are Trending in a Christmas direction...red, green, kraft, and chartreuse!

I chose a flurry of products from The Greetery for my card...

I used the “Snowflake Soirée” stencils for the background, sponged in Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink and dotted with colorful Nuvo Drops.

Added an amazing “Wood Slice” die cut to the center, decorated with a sentiment, florals, and greenery from “Pine Blossom.”  So festive!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

S’mores Sketch

When I saw Kim’s sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches I knew exactly what I could do with those little rectangles....!

My “S’mores Holiday” set from The Greetery arrived just in time!

I  made the background with The Greetery’s “Square Dance” stencils using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in “Aged Mahogany” and “Spun Sugar.” This may be my favorite combination yet!

Betsy Veldman thinks of everything when creating her products at The Greetery! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Boo!

Playing along with the Inspired By Challenge this week....

I made a little scene with lots of different companies’ products!

The Greetery’s “Pinwheel Party, the “B” from The Stamp Market’s “HBD” die, a vellum ghost made with assorted A Muse Studio “vintage” dies, and miscellaneous star die cuts!

I impressed the background with Papertrey Ink’s “Spider Web Trio” dies, then glittered them with Wink of Stella pen. Also cut a few small vellum webs. Impressed the “eek” die from A Muse Studio. Inked each impression with Hero Arts white ink.

Thanks for stopping by!

Inspired by...Fall Colors

I made it to the Inspired By Challenge this week! This week’s photo is about “fall colors.”

I used Papertrey Ink’s “ Enclosed: Apple“ dies and “Kindness Counts” sentiment set, with Ink to Paper’s “Brushed Plaid” background, and Hero Arts “Chalkboard” background...

I heat embossed the plaid with fine detail white powder, then sponged or brushed Distress Oxide Inks in Fine Linen, Tea Dye, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, and Pine Needles. I cut the back piece with the big solid apple die in the set and cut the frame in white (and cut off the “thanks” sentiment). So fun for fall!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Falling Leaves Sketch

This week at Freshly Made Sketches is a lovely clean and simple design by Jacquie!

I used The Greetery’s “BotaniCuts Mighty Oak” dies and a sentiment from “Written in Ribbons” for my card...

I originally started this card for the “Inspired By” Challenge when I saw this picture for “Playful Patterns,” but didn’t get finished in time!

I used all of the leaves that I had shaded with Distress Oxide Inks for the sketch instead!

It’s so relaxing, and so much fun, to take out inks and just sponge and shade these leaves to your heart’s content!

So Mush

This week, I’m playing along with two of my favorite challenges...Freshly Made Sketches

And the Color Throwdown...

I used The Greetery’s “BotaniCuts Toadstool Garden” and “Pathway” Stencils to make a fall, “misty morning walk” kind of card...

The punny sentiment is a combination of The Greetery’s “Slimline Alphabet” dies and the tiny “Simple Alphabet” from Papertrey Ink.

The background was made with an impression plate and white ink. So “mush” fun 😀!!

Tweet Tea

Some tweet tea is being served at the
“Inspired By Challenge” this week!

I used The Greetery’s “Cozy Cup,” “Cozy Cup Coaster” die, and “Robin and Wren.”

The background was made with The Greetery’s “Square Dance” stencils! They are SO much fun to use!

The inspiration photo was perfect for this week as there is a fall chill in the air here!

Thanks so much for stopping by! ❤️

Peachy Keen Throwdown

I couldn’t wait to play along with Lynn’s colors this week at the Color Throwdown...peach, pink, yellow, and orange.

I had the perfect set to use...The Greetery’s “Print Shop: Peachy Keen!”

I also used The Greetery’s “Create-a-Crate” dies, a sentiment from “Just Mason Around, and a little peach from “Just Peachy Sentiments.”  I made my chalkboard sign with Black Soot and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink, white embossing powder, and the square and frame dies in the “Create-A-Crate” set.

A few other colors snuck in to the party...😬! Of course, I used green for my leaves. My background is made by my 14 year-old daughter when we did the shaving cream technique a few weeks ago, and she mixed yellow and purple. Even my 16 year-old daughter joined in the fun, and I have a Halloween card in mind with one of her backgrounds. Thanks so much for stopping by! ❤️

Jersey Shore Sketch

This week at Freshly Made Sketches, the sketch was to make a slimline card design!

I used The Greetery’s new Destination: Summer stamps, stencils, and dies, and Trinity Stamps “Slimline Stitched” dies for my card.

I stenciled the background using the Waterfront stencils in the Destination: Summer stencil set. These stencils are made for an A2 card, but with a little adjusting, you can extend the pattern for the whole length of the card.

I stamped and die cut images from the Destination: Summer set, and used The Greetery’s “Slim Alphabet” dies for my words.

Our destination is the Jersey Shore on Monday...Long Beach Island (affectionately called LBI which I added with mini stamps from PTI’s tiny Simple Alphabet set on my compass piece). We’re going to see my family with a plan to stay close to their home while there...but hoping that Hurricane Isaias doesn’t throw another wrench in our plans!

Clever Sausage

This week at the Library Challenge is this awesome book cover..

I chose to use the saucy “ Clever Sausage” set by Julie Ebersole for Ellen Hutson LLC.

.

A little coloring with Zig Clean Color Markers and a waterbrush, a paper-pieced striped outfit using a mini background from Waltzingmouse Stamps, ink blending for the sky, and a tiny pom pom for his hat. The images in this set are so fun and sweet...the cards practically make themselves!

Big Bright Flowers Sketch

I loved Lee Ann’s sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches! So open to possibilities and I wanted to add some color, too!

I used the 6th anniversary collaboration set between PinkFresh Studio and Altenew called “Celebrate Us” for my big, bright flowers...

The flowers are so easy to align and stamp, and I added some Prismacolor pencil details, too. The background is made with PinkFresh Studio’s “Pop Out: Diamonds” stamp set, cut with the coordinating “Simply Diamonds” die. Also backed the diamond frame with The Stamp Market’s “Dot Dot Dot” background that I heat embossed with black detail powder. So fun! Thanks so much for stopping by! ❤️

Succulent Throwdown

Playing along with Kathy Raccoosin’s “30 Day Coloring Challenge” and thought I would use the Color Throwdown colors of the week chosen by Amy Rysavy...orange, burgundy, green, and pink.

The “Mondo Succulent Pot” by Julie Ebersole at Ellen Hutson seemed like a good fit...

I used Zig Clean Color Markers and a waterbrush on Bristol Smooth Paper, then fussy cut the image. The background is the cool “Buffalo Check” from Stampin Up stamped in “Wheat” ink for a light but jazzy background! Thanks for stopping by!

Fireworks

At the Library Craft Challenge blog this week, the cover art from”The Moon Spinners” by Mary Stewart, is perfect for a summer design!...

My mind went right to Conesus Lake in Western New York, where my sister and brother-in-law live. It’s only six miles from my house, so we spend a lot of time there boating and swimming. On July 3 is a big Independence Day celebration called the “Ring of Fire.” Every house around the lake lights flares along the lake’s edge at 10:00 PM, turning the lake into a glowing orange ring. Of course, there are fireworks, which inspired my card...

I inked a background using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, and Broken China. I used fireworks stencils from Trinity Stamps, Echo Patk, and Simple Stories.  I heat embossed in red, white, blue, and gold.

Added lots of Stickles and Nuvo Drops for sparkle and shine, and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink’s “Land that I Love” set. The little house die cuts are from Julie Ebersole’s “Hearth & Home” at Ellen Hutson, and Neat & Tangled’s “Warm Winter Scene.”

12 Kits of Occasions: Love is in the Air!

This month at the 12 Kits of Occasions, Michelle Leone of Pretty Periwinkle is our hostess, with the most lovely supplies, in beautiful pastel hues, ready for all of the celebrations that summer brings!

I created this card first featuring florals from PinkFresh Studio and a sentiment from The Greetery...

Added gorgeous iridescent sequins and a botanical butterfly from the patterned paper that was sent!

Up next, a sweet tag with a bouquet from The Stamp Market...

Michelle did so much gorgeous stamping and gold embossing for us, so putting this tag together was a breeze. Added a stamped vellum layer using The Stamp Market’s “Dot Dot Dot.”

Lastly, a beautiful butterfly and sentiment banner from The Stamp Market paired with a stamped background and cut flowers from The Greetery!

More lovely sequins, and I am loving the background stamped in Michelle’s signature periwinkle!

Be sure to visit the 12 Kits of Occasions blog to see the Design Team’s wonderful creations with this kit! Thanks SO much to Michelle for spoiling us with so much craft goodness, enough to last for the summer and beyond! 💜

Inspired by Cool Treats!

Playing along with the Inspired By Challenge this week....Cool Treats!

I went to the ocean in my inspiration to find the coolest girl of all...a mermaid!

I used Waffle Flower’s “ Mermaid Mail,” The Stamp Market’s “Stampgram,” and Papertrey Ink’s
“Sand Swatch” to create my scene. Blended popsicle colors for the background using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Scattered Straw, Spun Sugar, Festive Berries, and Salty Ocean, with some Perfect Pearls splatters.

Added lots of glitz with Wink of Stella and Sakura Stardust pens, Prisma glitter, and Nuvo Drops. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Simply Diamonds Throwdown

I love the Color Throwdown colors this week, some of my favorite to stamp with...
pink, aqua blue, yellow, and green...

I used PinkFresh Studio’s new “Pop Out: Diamonds” stamps with coordinating “Simply Diamonds” and “Diamond Floral Bunches” dies.

My ink colors ended up being Fresh Ink’s Pool, Lemonade, Pink Lemonade and Limeade! I stamped The Stamp Market’s “Dot Dot Dot” background in Lemonade then heat embossed with clear powder.

The “love” die cut is a cute freebie from a PinkFresh Studio release order, and I heat embossed a “you” sentiment with white powder. The flower bunches were stamped then I added some marker details directly on the stamps with Tombow markers. So fun and these are just the sweetest bouquets! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Little Throwdown

This week’s colors at The Color Throwdown are perfectly fresh and fun for summer...aqua, pink, white, and gold!

I chose all things little from The Stamp Market for my card...

I made a collage using the sweet “Just a Little Message” and “Itty Bitty Blooms” sets. They are so sweet and fit perfectly together. The little polka dots in the background are a pattern for the “envelope” liner in “Just a Little Message.”

I stamped and die cut the images, adding some Glossy Accents here and there, then heat embossed the sentiment from “Itty Bitty Blooms” in gold. Such a cheery way to let someone know that you are missing them! ❤️
