Bitty Bouquet Sketch

Playing along with Freshly Made Sketches this week with this fun on by Jennifer Timko!

I kind of zigged and zagged from my original plan but here is what I ended up with!

I had a PinkFresh Studio “Simply Diamonds” die cut piece leftover so I added an oval in the center. Stamped some Papertrey Ink “Bitty Bouquets” to match a background stenciled with The Greetery’s “Tartan Builder Diagonal” stencils and created a sentiment with a tiny phrase from “Birthday Blooms” and “Let’s Have a Word: Spring.” I love creating with this color scheme!

Inspired by Carrots

This week at the Inspired By Challenge  was this amazing carrot bouquet…!

I tucked my “BotaniCuts: Carrots” from The Greetery behind a little vintage sign…

My sign is created with a die cut from Papertrey Ink’s “Forest Floor: Spring” set, then stamped words from “Fall Farmer’s Market” and “Farm Fresh Trees.” The “hello spring” is from The Greetery’s “Curio: Labels,” along with a background made with the “Leaves All Around” stencils and a few sprigs from “BotaniCuts: Wildflower Mix!”

So much fun to create…thanks for stopping by!

Mini Tulips Throwdown

I love the soft spring shades that Lisa Henke chose this week for the Color Throwdown Challenge …yellow, sage green, gray, and white!

I made a card with the “Simply Diamonds” die and “Pop Out: Diamonds” stamp set from PinkFresh Studio!

I inked the little tulip stems with Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Ink, then wiped off the tulip portion and colored it yellow with a Tombow marker.

The sentiment from The Greetery’s “Everyday Labels” was heat embossed with white powder on an acrylic sheet then cut out with the “Handmade Labels” die. Note… if you back white embossed sentiments on acrylic with white cardstock… all of your stray powder/embossing mistakes magically disappear! 😂

So Excited! …Throwdown!

I am playing along at the Color Throwdown Challenge  this week…but this time, I am THRILLED to say as a new member of the team! I cannot even put into words how excited I am! As you know, the Color Throwdown is my favorite weekly challenge, so I am beyond grateful for this opportunity. Thank you to all of the team members for their warm welcome ❤️!

I got to play with a really fun and unique set of colors chosen by Susie for this week…blue, brown, and rust!

I knew I wanted to make a spring card, but what images to choose with these warm colors? Well, nothing is warmer (or snugglier) for spring than a bunny! So, out came a favorite set of mine… The Greetery’s “Bunny Hop Wreath!”

I actually made that background with The Greetery’s “Square Dance Stencils” quite a while ago! It was perfect with the stenciled bunnies, flowers and a sentiment from the “Springtime” stamp set, and those glorious “BotaniCuts: Pussy Willows” that are so much fun to make …and fuzz-ify with white Fun Flock!

I can’t wait to see what everyone makes this week! Thanks so much for stopping by!

I See…Sunny Strawberries!

A very fun (and necessary) challenge at the As You See It Challenge Blog called “Spring Cleaning”…use up your scrap stashes!

I made a crazy (crooked!) quilt for my background using favorite snippets of patterned paper…some were REALLY old! I cut them with a small pinked edge square die, then pieced them together…

Also in my stash? A gabillion die cut pieces housed in little dishes all around my craft space! From The Greetery, I found some pieces that I had colored, but set aside last year…including “BotaniCuts: Strawberries,” “BotaniCuts: Forget-Me-Nots,” and a “Piped Sentiments: Sweet” die cut. Added a few new flowers and berries to the collection, and made a card that won’t end up in the trash! 😂

Spring Florals Throwdown

Today I am thrilled to be the Guest Designer at the Color Throwdown Challenge! This week’s colors are gloriously spring and pastel…pale blue, yellow, and lime!

I used beautiful floral products from The Greetery for my card…

The “Seed Catalog Background” is a favorite starter for me! I added some “BotaniCuts: Bluebells” and “BotaniCuts: Wildflower Mix” blossoms around my circular window. I heat embossed a sweet thank you sentiment from “Opposites Attract” in silver for a finishing touch.

The Color Throwdown Challenge is my favorite, and always pushes me to use and mix colors/products in new ways. I hope you can play along this week!

Paisley Throwdown

I love the inspiration photo at the Color Throwdown Challenge this week…

(Not sure what is happening to the photo but you can see the lovely colors of coral, yellow, blue, and navy!)

I searched through my well-loved Stampin’ Up “vintage” wood-mounted backgrounds for some paisley of my own!

I paired it with The Greetery’s “Lovely Blossoms” and “Jumbo Curiosity: Butterfly “ die and stencil. With some sneaky masking, I paired a stamped sentiment from “Lovely Blossoms” with a die cut sentiment from “Lovely Silhouettes.” Loving these bright, happy colors  at this drab time of year! 😊
