I See…Sunny Strawberries!

A very fun (and necessary) challenge at the As You See It Challenge Blog called “Spring Cleaning”…use up your scrap stashes!

I made a crazy (crooked!) quilt for my background using favorite snippets of patterned paper…some were REALLY old! I cut them with a small pinked edge square die, then pieced them together…

Also in my stash? A gabillion die cut pieces housed in little dishes all around my craft space! From The Greetery, I found some pieces that I had colored, but set aside last year…including “BotaniCuts: Strawberries,” “BotaniCuts: Forget-Me-Nots,” and a “Piped Sentiments: Sweet” die cut. Added a few new flowers and berries to the collection, and made a card that won’t end up in the trash! 😂

Thanks so much for stopping by!

That crazy quilt background is off the charts! What an amazing technique for using up your scraps of patterned paper! And you have some superb pieces in your scrap bin! Those strawberries look juicy enough for shortcake! Thanks for adding your talent to our gallery at As You See It Challenge. And just for interest's sake, how much is a gabillion? 😊
