Soft and Sweet

Some soft and lovely colors at the Color Throwdown Challenge Blog this week...
pink, kraft, and gray!

We had a snow day!  So I decided to bring bits of spring into my craft room with Papertrey Ink's new stamp and die set "Forest Floor: Spring."

I used a woodgrain background from Heidi Swapp, stamped in mix of A Muse "Latte" ink and "Birch" Fresh ink (using my MISTI) on white paper for the background.

I little strip of vellum embossed with a Cuttlebug plaid folder...

Some Glossy Accents to add dew drops to the flowers, a few "cloudy" adhesive pearls in the background, and some twine to wrap it up!  These soft colors with the sweet images from Forest Floor: Spring made for a little bit of Easter on this Nor'Easter kind of day!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Floral Sprig Sketch

Another beautiful sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, this one by Cindy Lovell:

Here is my card:

I wanted to use some new papers that I got from the "Park Bench" line by Fancy Pants, although I ended up being inspired by the papers then using only one little scrap!  It's the yellow and turquoise floral piece.
I stamped Waltzingmouse Stamps Simple Sprig and then added some Funky Flowers to the stem, both cut with the coordinating dies.

The circular panel is actually a piece of vellum cut with a nestie and then embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder.  The background is Heidi Swap's Woodgrain and the sentiment from WPlus9's Fresh Cut Florals.  Still getting the hang of adding sequins to my projects, but I just loved the new sequin tubes from Hazel & Ruby!  These silver ones are from the "Sparkle and Shine" set.

Thanks so much for stopping by...can't wait to see the new sketch reveal on Wednesday!
