25 Days of Christmas Tags- Day 15

On Day 15 of Tracey's 25 Days of Chritmas Tags , Concord & 9th was featured! I just loved
Kim Heggins' secret sliding message stocking card, and it made me think of Concord and 9th's"Mail Drop" stamps and dies...

I stamped the mailbox pieces then colored it with Zig Clear Color markers and a wet paint brush. Added some greenery from The Stamp Market's "Candy Cane Christmas."

Originally I was going to add a slider message, but then attached the mailbox lid so it could reveal a surprise when opened...

Stamped the little envelope and masked out the sentiment. Added a sentiment and mini holly from The Stamp Market's " Mini Ornament" set and bigger holly from "Candy Cane Christmas."

Bewitched Sketch

This week at Freshly Made Sketches is this fun one by Lee Ann!

I chose to make a spooky card with the Waltzingmouse Stamps classic set "Halloween Party!"

First, I stamped "bewitched"in gray ink on white cardstock using Concord & 9th's "Sophisticated Script" stamp set. Then I inked a background over it with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Black Soot. I left a circular spot for the glowing cauldron and added Barn Door, Ripe Persimmon, and Squeezed Lemonade.

I stamped the witch and cauldron with VersaFine Black and heat embossed with clear powder. Added lots of starbursts and her magical spell bolt from the set and heat embossed with gold detail powder. The mini "Time to Fly" sentiment is also gold embossed and is from the WMS set "Gracie at Halloween."

I traced over "Bewitched" with a Sakura Stardust gel pen.

Some Diamond Stickles stars in the sky, which take on a fun greenish gold twinkle over the background inks. Lots of coordinating Nuvo Drop potion bubbles for a finishing touch...Happy Halloween!

Mailbox Blooms

Playing along with the theme of "Beautiful Blooms" this week at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.  I used Concord & 9th's "Mail Drop" set, coupled with Simon Says Stamp's "Artsy Flower Parts!"

I've never had a mailbox set, and once I saw this one, it made me so happy! The whimsical artsy flowers seemed like a perfect match for a little spring scene. Stamped and die cut the pieces from Arches watercolor paper, then colored them with Zig Clear Color Markers and a waterbrush.

The Mail Drop set comes with many different options for layering and die-cutting. I layered the mailbox with post and the lid piece, cutting a slot from the lid for my little letter. It comes out, and on the back it says,"Sending paper hugs."

Lots of Glossy Accents and Nuvo Drop Accents, with the scene adhered to a Spring Rain cardstock base (Papertrey Ink) like a perfect blue sky! So much fun using these sets together, can't wait for my mailbox and garden to be blooming!

Purple

For the Simon Says Stamp Blog Wednesday Challenge, you were to use black, white, and one other color on your card. I chose purple!

I used Concord and 9th's Sophisticated Script and Plaid Background stamps, then WPlus9 Studio's Fresh Cut Florals.

This card took me forever because I kept smudging black everywhere, and it's really hard to use only one color 😄!

Blessings

Playing along with two challenges today, The Color Throwdown had some lovely sunshine colors this week...yellow, green, white, and black...

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge was to use something new...so I chose this beautiful Folk Dance die that I ordered from Simon Says Stamp over the school break :)

I needed a wedding card for the weekend, and used yellow and green patterned paper for my leaves and flowers.  The sentiment was created with Concord & 9th's Sophisticated Script set and asmaller sentiment from WPlus9, heat-embossed in white on vellum.

I had used black cardstock for the flower centers and dots, but I wanted a bit of shine... so I (crazily) used black Nuvo Drops instead of Glossy Accents over the black paper! Of course every little mistake showed up 10 fold on the white. I added the vellum to cover a small smear 😣.

But I'm sure the happy couple won't peek underneath, so all is well that ends well! 😃

Freshly Made Sketches #367 & Design Team Call

Another versatile sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week's is by Karren Johnson. A perfect one for the holidays!

I thought it was the sketch Santa would choose himself when designing his very own stationery!

I stamped Concord and 9th's "Plaid Background," then added a piece of Rustic White cardstock embossed with PTI's Woodgrain Impression Plate to the back.

Santa's seal of approval (checked twice of course) is from Waltzingmouse Stamps' "Around Christmastime" stamp set. I stamped then heat embossed with detail clear powder, and added some Glossy Accents.

The pine boughs are cut with Simon Says Stamps' "Pine Needle Trio." I'm pretty sure Santa would not send a letter unless it jingled ...so added some gold bell brads from Tim Holtz!

Thanks for stopping by...I'm pretty sure you all will have a note like this on file at the North Pole Headquarters 😊!

25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 3 Inspiration

More tags inspired by Day 3 of Tracey's "25 Days of Christmas Tags." The sponsor was Concord and 9th and I chose to use their Sophisticated Script set to make a "Cheers" tag like Emily Midgett. I loved her gingham/plaid background, neutral colors, and script sentiment.

I cut the little houses using the Neat & Tangled Winter Village die and the trees from one of the dies in  PTI's Tinsel and Tags kit. They are actually cut from some wood tape! Found some adorable woodgrain sequins I've saved forever, too.

The gingham is an old Cornish Heritage Farms Backgrounder and the mini sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps. Had to add a clip and twine like, Emily, too 😊!

Floral Sketch

Playing along at the "Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge Blog" and they had a fun sketch!

I used Concord & 9th's "Flower Turnabout" stamp set...

I colored the flowers with Tim Holtz Distress Markers, then afterward, "flicked" Tattered Angels gold "Glimmer Mist" on it to blend the colors and add some sparkle (which unfortunately you can't see in the pictures)!  I ran out of room for the sentiment, so moved it up to my circle :)!

Added some red strips embossed with a woodgrain impression plate, clear sequins, gold Liquid Pearls, and Glossy Accents and to pick up the sparkle.  The Concord & 9th's turnabout sets are SO much fun to use!

Fusion 4th Anniversary Challenge

The Fusion Challenge Blog is celebrating their 4th Anniversary!  They have a lovely challenge photo and sketch for the occasion:

I chose to use the sketch and the inspiration photo, with the sweet Concord & 9th stamp set "Let's Chat"...

I stamped a woodgrain background with a Stampin' Up "Barnwood" background and also embossed PTI's White Linen cardstock with the Woodgrain Impression Plate.

I stamped the cup, the cocoa inside (and cut it out), and heat embossed the marshmallows with white powder, then cut all of the pieces out, layering them with dimensionals.  Made a little "saucer" using a circle Nestabilities die, and added some white embossed leaves from the set for decoration.   The sentiment is on vellum and comes from the Waltzingmouse Stamps' Sewing Box set.

Love the Fusion Challenge, and I'll raise my cocoa mug to the DT for four more years of fun :)!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: New!

This week for Simon Says Stamps' Wednesday Challenge, we are to use something "new" for the New Year, and at CASolgy, the cue card is "Encourage."

I just got the adorable Concord & 9th set "Let's Chat" this week, and chose it to make a "feel better" card...

First, I stamped the saucer and the cup, then added the leafy decorations.  I stamped the "filled" circle in the set in latte ink, cut it out, pasted it into the cup, and added some coloring to the all of the images with Copics.  Stamped the heart swirl in Versamark on top and embossed with white powder.

Added some mini red hearts shined up with Glossy Accents, and some "steamy" hearts with a Heidi Swapp stencil and white texture paste.  Some hearts went awry at the top, so covered those over with some linen washi :).  This set is so versatile and FUN!

Concord & 9th Script Tags

Playing along with the "Where Creativity Meets C9" Challenge for Concord & 9th, and this week it's "Anything Goes."

Thought it would be a perfect time to do more tags and use my  Sophisticated Script and Sophisticated Script Upper stamp sets!
I got these in the bundle package and they are awesome!

Our "Schirmer" side Christmas is next Sunday, so I took the opportunity to make some tags for our nieces Emily & Mariel, and our great nieces, Maggie and Kate!

Used 2-sided patterned paper and a Memory Box Pocket Gift Tag die.  Think the pocket will fit a Ghirardelli chocolate square, too.  The letters are really easy to line up... and make people think I have excellent scripty handwriting! :)
