12 Kits...Fall with Jessica!

It's 12 Kits day and this month Jessica treated us to a wonderful kit packed full of the colors of fall! Stamped and die cut images, papers, cardstock, twine, sequins!  I fell in love with the cute images in the kit and focused on those for my projects...

Up first is the sweet little chipmunk and acorn from Lawn Fawn's "Into the Woods" kit paired with a sentiment I stamped with Lawn Fawn's Milo Alphabet.  I loved the acorn paper and this amazing woodgrain/cork tape from Michael's that Jessica sent! (MUST get some!)

Jessica stamped this Thanksgiving sentiment 3 times and I used it to create a background.  I roughed up the edges and placed it over a piece of cream cardstock embossed with A Muse Studio's Woodgrain plate. The fun plaid acorn from Paper Smooches "Falling for You" is colored with Copics.

Last, a sweet fox from  Lawn Fawn's "Into the Woods" with an Avery Elle sentiment on a Tremendous Tag from Papertrey Ink.  The background yellow paper was woodgrain print, but I ran it through my Cuttlebug with A Muse Studio's woodgrain impression plate, too.  A little wooden leaf and some lovely twine to top if off.

Thanks SO much to Jessica for this adorable kit...and it made me dust off my Copics which is always a good thing (plus I need the practice)!  Be sure to check out the 12 Kits of Occasions Blog for a list of all of the participants, as well as all of the supplies that were included in the kit.  As always, you can see current and past creations on our Pinterest page HERE, as well as keep up to date on our Facebook page HERE!

Warm Wishes Sketch

This week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches is from Jennifer Timko and I will definitely use it again, it's so versatile!

I really wanted to use my new Love You a Latte set from Lawn Fawn, and thought it looked best when I turned the sketch...

I used papers from DCWV to paper piece the little cups and could not resist adding the cute little faces! They are on sitting on a piece cut with the Picot Panel die from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  So much fun!

Tinsel Cabin Sketch

A wonderful sketch at Freshly Made Sketches from Amy O'Neill!  I just love the way you can use patterned papers with this one...

Another Christmas card, this time with dies from the new Make It Market kit by Betsy Veldman...Tinsel and Tags!

I used the little cabin, tree, and snowman die then cut off the edges to fit the rectangular panel.  Even though it looks black in the photo, the cardstock is dark grey (Flinstone, by Bazzill Card Shoppe).  I ran the piece through my Cuttlebug with A Muse Studio's Woodgrain impression plate.

The sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink on vellum using  Lawn Fawn's "Milo's Alphabet" and heat embossed with white powder.  A little snowflake using a Martha Stewart punch and a scattering of mini gems for snow.  The paper is by My Mind's Eye.

I will definitely use this sketch in the future...thanks so much, Amy!  If you have never visited Freshly Made Sketches, you must go over and see the fabulous samples the Design Team members provide each week!

12 Kits Rewind

Hello!  I'm here with my 12 Kits of Occasions post of September...time to REWIND!  We all get kits that are just packed with products that we would never be able to use in one month.  So we decided it would be fun to pick a month and revisit some of our favorite kits and make some new projects!

Up first is a card from Jeanne's April kit which was a colorful, floral delight...

A lovely two layer die cut flower, a woodgrain Polaroid frame, and an embossing folder by Anna Griffin that I've wanted forever...so glad I got the chance to preview it.  It may jump in my cart the next time I am shopping at JoAnn's!

I have been having fun with my Wink of Stella pen lately!  I colored the inside petals and then the outline die cut piece.

Then came Joyce's awesome nautical kit for May!

Loved the die cut sailboat and the amazing papers she sent!  The oval is cut with the frame from PTI's original Shakers & Sprinkles Make it Market kit.

Then a soft and elegant kit from Marybeth for June!

Some sweet little birds and pretty pinks and peaches...a kit packed with a whole lotta love!

A scattering of sequins from Hazel & Ruby, some mini gems, and glitter on the birds and confetti background.

Then came Tracey's amazing Christmas in July kit!

More perfect papers and the sweetest little die cuts, including this snowman and tag!

Some more Wink of Stella...wink!

Lastly is a tag I made for my nephew Owen's birthday this past weekend.  It's not from any of this year's kits but the deer trio die from Memory Box was an "I had to buy this item because of the 12 kits" kind of purchase!

I wrapped his gift in brown paper with some wooden tape.  Then I made the "camo" tag  using Distress inks and a sponge dauber.  The grass die is from A Muse Studio and the sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  Attached another kraft tag  embossed with PTI's Woodgrain Impression plate.  He really liked it!

So there you have it!  Be sure to visit our Pinterest page HERE... or the  12 Kits blog where you can always get a list of the supplies used for each month's kit.  You will also get to meet our newest member LINDSEY!!  See you October 30th with a new kit from Jessica!

Cottage Sketch

An awesome sketch by Narelle Farrugia this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

Used this "Christmas House" image from Pink Persimmon, and a sweet sentiment from Love Lives Here Holiday from Papertrey Ink.  Background paper is from an Echo Park's "Christmas Reflections" pad from last year.  It's difficult to see, but added some Wink of Stella glitter pen on some of the snowy hills.

Another Christmas card done...I'm in the spirit now!
