Pool Party Throwdown

This week at the Color Throwdown challenge blog, Broni is our hostess with the sweetest mix of summer colors…pink, aqua, yellow, and lime!

I took these colors to the pool with Papertrey Ink’s “Floating By” stamps and dies!

I also used Papertrey Ink’s “Pool Water” stencils to make the background by inking over the top with aqua inks, then spraying some aqua glimmer mist over the top. Some fun bubble embellishments and lovely flowers and leaves from The Stamp Market’s “Tropical Vibes” set to complete my sunny party!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please join us at the Color Throwdown blog to upload your creation for a chance to be our randomly-selected Guest Designer in an upcoming challenge!

Big Bright Flowers Sketch

I loved Lee Ann’s sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches! So open to possibilities and I wanted to add some color, too!

I used the 6th anniversary collaboration set between PinkFresh Studio and Altenew called “Celebrate Us” for my big, bright flowers...

The flowers are so easy to align and stamp, and I added some Prismacolor pencil details, too. The background is made with PinkFresh Studio’s “Pop Out: Diamonds” stamp set, cut with the coordinating “Simply Diamonds” die. Also backed the diamond frame with The Stamp Market’s “Dot Dot Dot” background that I heat embossed with black detail powder. So fun! Thanks so much for stopping by! ❤️

12 Kits of Occasions: Love is in the Air!

This month at the 12 Kits of Occasions, Michelle Leone of Pretty Periwinkle is our hostess, with the most lovely supplies, in beautiful pastel hues, ready for all of the celebrations that summer brings!

I created this card first featuring florals from PinkFresh Studio and a sentiment from The Greetery...

Added gorgeous iridescent sequins and a botanical butterfly from the patterned paper that was sent!

Up next, a sweet tag with a bouquet from The Stamp Market...

Michelle did so much gorgeous stamping and gold embossing for us, so putting this tag together was a breeze. Added a stamped vellum layer using The Stamp Market’s “Dot Dot Dot.”

Lastly, a beautiful butterfly and sentiment banner from The Stamp Market paired with a stamped background and cut flowers from The Greetery!

More lovely sequins, and I am loving the background stamped in Michelle’s signature periwinkle!

Be sure to visit the 12 Kits of Occasions blog to see the Design Team’s wonderful creations with this kit! Thanks SO much to Michelle for spoiling us with so much craft goodness, enough to last for the summer and beyond! 💜

Inspired by Cool Treats!

Playing along with the Inspired By Challenge this week....Cool Treats!

I went to the ocean in my inspiration to find the coolest girl of all...a mermaid!

I used Waffle Flower’s “ Mermaid Mail,” The Stamp Market’s “Stampgram,” and Papertrey Ink’s
“Sand Swatch” to create my scene. Blended popsicle colors for the background using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Scattered Straw, Spun Sugar, Festive Berries, and Salty Ocean, with some Perfect Pearls splatters.

Added lots of glitz with Wink of Stella and Sakura Stardust pens, Prisma glitter, and Nuvo Drops. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Simply Diamonds Throwdown

I love the Color Throwdown colors this week, some of my favorite to stamp with...
pink, aqua blue, yellow, and green...

I used PinkFresh Studio’s new “Pop Out: Diamonds” stamps with coordinating “Simply Diamonds” and “Diamond Floral Bunches” dies.

My ink colors ended up being Fresh Ink’s Pool, Lemonade, Pink Lemonade and Limeade! I stamped The Stamp Market’s “Dot Dot Dot” background in Lemonade then heat embossed with clear powder.

The “love” die cut is a cute freebie from a PinkFresh Studio release order, and I heat embossed a “you” sentiment with white powder. The flower bunches were stamped then I added some marker details directly on the stamps with Tombow markers. So fun and these are just the sweetest bouquets! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Little Throwdown

This week’s colors at The Color Throwdown are perfectly fresh and fun for summer...aqua, pink, white, and gold!

I chose all things little from The Stamp Market for my card...

I made a collage using the sweet “Just a Little Message” and “Itty Bitty Blooms” sets. They are so sweet and fit perfectly together. The little polka dots in the background are a pattern for the “envelope” liner in “Just a Little Message.”

I stamped and die cut the images, adding some Glossy Accents here and there, then heat embossed the sentiment from “Itty Bitty Blooms” in gold. Such a cheery way to let someone know that you are missing them! ❤️

Thanks for stopping by!

Patriotic Rainbow Sketch

A really fun sketch by Amy to be inspired by at Freshly Made Sketches...

I chose lots of different supplies for my patriotic card, starting with The Stamp Market’s “Rainbow Stripes” dies...

Stenciled the background flowers with Kaisercraft’s “Bloom” stencil and navy ink, adding red Nuvo Drop centers. The sentiment is from Papertrey Inks “ Land That I Love” set.

Stamped and heat embossed the pieces with several background stamps, and white or clear embossing powder. Added Glossy Accents to the heart, a wooden heart sponged with Frayed Burlap ink and white embossing powder, and mini petals from a Memory Box die. Happy almost July 4th, our family can’t wait!

April Snow Showers...

Bring blue May flowers?! That is how the saying seems to be going this week in Western New York! A card for the Color Throwdown this week...aqua, turquoise, gray, and gold!

I chose The Stamp Market’s “May Flowers” for my card...

I stamped and die cut the multi-step images and added a gold embossed sentiment from Papertrey Ink’s “Pen & Ink.”

Polka Dot Charm

This week at the Inspired By Challenge is this charming little room entitled “ Night Night”...

I chose The Stamp Market’s “Floral Fun Card Cover” die paired with some old favorite supplies for my card...

I hate jigsaw puzzles, but adding die cut pieces back into a cover plate is more my kind of crafty thing! I stamped a piece of cardstock with patterns from Waltzingmouse Stamps “Gingham & Company” then cut the flowers from those. Used the Swiss Dot embossing folder from ProvoCraft for the inlaid pieces, then placed those in last. The sentiment is from The Stamp Market’s “You” set. I love this color combination, so charming and country chic! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Fresh Sketch Throwdown

This week I combined Jacquie’s sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and Lynn’s colors at Color Throwdown for a cheerful floral card!

I used WPlus9 Studio’s “Fresh Cut Florals” and a sentiment from the new “Florals and Laurels.”

I made the plaid by shading and masking the diamond pattern on The Stamp Market’s “Pierced Plaid Cover Die” with Distress Oxide Inks in Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold, and Scattered Straw. So much fun!

This week at the Color Throwdown there are some lovely spring colors to play around with...pink, green, kraft, and gray!

I chose The Stamp Market’s adorable and fun “Oh So Lovely” set for my card...

I masked a rectangle in the center and added kraft and pink inks with a blending brush, then added all of the stamped and die cut pieces.

Added some pink nail polish, too! 😀 Thank so much for stopping by!

Tropical Throwdown

This week’s colors at the Color Throwdown are positively tropical...aqua, fuschia, kraft, and white!

I used The Greetery’s “BotaniCuts Lily“ and “BotaniCuts Palm” die sets for my card...

I watercolored the lily and cut palms from two different brands of kraft cardstock. The large pink flowers were stamped and die cut using The Stamp Market’s “Tropical Vibes.”

The mini flowers are embossed in white and dotted with Nuvo Drops. The sentiment is from a set created by The Stamp Market called “Just Because” for Simon Says Stamps’ Stamptember release. The background was embossed with a large striped folder. Thanks for stopping by!

Zesty Sketch

This week at Freshly Made Sketches was a fun one by Kim with lots of fun possibilities!

I chose a new background cling stamp by Pinkfresh Studio called “Lemon Lush” as my starting point, heat embossed on white paper with white powder.

I used Zig Clean Color Markers and a wet paintbrush to color, then added a hello die by The Stamp Market cut from gingham and blue paper and layered.

For the layered lines in the set, I added a sentiment from Papertrey Ink on vellum, a strip of white cardstock, and vellum flowers made with The Stamp Market’s “Bloominous” set.  Not sure of my color scheme, but The background is beautiful and so much fun to color!

The Library Challenge! #49

Playing along with my first challenge at The Library Challenge, where each week you get to be inspired by a book cover,  title, or story. How cool! This week, the challenge was entitled Anthology, and you got to choose any of this year’s covers (or last year’s, too). I was inspired by the cover of “The Note” by Zoë Folbigg.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1MhMOzLCfVbCOyLoZ8xj3Io-KMI9dI2hF

I used The Greetery”s “Christmas Care-A-Van” set, the “Hand-Drawn Heart” die from The Stamp Market, “Happy Pretty Panels” from Reverse Confetti, and “Headline Numbers” die from Papertrey Ink for my scene.

Please excuse my post as I broke my tablet screen and am trying from my new phone for the first time and I’m trying to figure out how to add an edited photo 🤣!

25 Days of Christmas Tags- Day 10

For Day 10 of Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags, her guest was Simon Says Stamp! I was inspired by Lin Brandyberry's gorgeous die cut wreath with big bow!

I cut lots of the small leaves using The Stamp Market's "Holiday Greenery" die set, then colored with Copic markers. Placed them on a circle frame that I cut with Nestabilities. Added a big bow cut from October Afternoon paper with the L'il Inkers bow die.

I splattered some watered down white paint then added Crystal Snow glitter by Stampendous for a snowy look.

Adding this to Kathy's 30 Day Coloring Challenge at the Daily Marker. I can't wait to make more to tie on packages!

25 Days of Christmas Tags- Day 15

On Day 15 of Tracey's 25 Days of Chritmas Tags , Concord & 9th was featured! I just loved
Kim Heggins' secret sliding message stocking card, and it made me think of Concord and 9th's"Mail Drop" stamps and dies...

I stamped the mailbox pieces then colored it with Zig Clear Color markers and a wet paint brush. Added some greenery from The Stamp Market's "Candy Cane Christmas."

Originally I was going to add a slider message, but then attached the mailbox lid so it could reveal a surprise when opened...

Stamped the little envelope and masked out the sentiment. Added a sentiment and mini holly from The Stamp Market's " Mini Ornament" set and bigger holly from "Candy Cane Christmas."

25 Days of Christmas Tags-Day 4

More tags for Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags! Day 4 brought inspiration from Uniko! I chose Rahmat Gouse's lovely Christmas tree tag!

For my tree, I used The Greetery's "Fir and Foliage No. 1" stamp set and the Knit Wits Stencil...

I used white texture paste with the Knit Wits stencil for the background. The multi-step stamped tree is stamped in 2 green inks, then white for the detail. The sentiment is from The Stamp Market's "Candy Cane Christmas." Some little wooden stars like Rahmat's to finish the tag!
