It's time for another edition of The 12 Kits of Occasions and this month the amazing Kara is our hostess! As you can see in the photo above, she sent us a gorgeous and elegant kit for autumn & Thanksgiving!
She sent us 3 sizes of glassine bags and these adorable place cards made with Papertrey Ink's "Places Please" stamp and die set. I decided to make a favor for a Thanksgiving table. Inside are some smoked almonds. These would look so pretty at each place setting! I used a sentiment from one of my own PTI sets "First Fruits" stamped in Delicata gold ink to match the lovely leaves Kara sent. These would look so great printed with guests' names, though!
Next is an image from PTI's "Autumn Abundance" colored with Copics and glittered up a bit...
Used one of my Sizzix embossing folders with some Dark Chocolate cardstock. Liked how the leafy pattern coordinated with the vase image.
More Copic coloring on PTI's "Autumn Hills" scene!
Colored it to match a panel that Kara sent that was stamped with PTI's "Leaf Prints." SUCH beautiful colors she chose!
And last a CAS card that made me think of Kara herself! A die cut "Thankful" mixed with some beautiful vellum leaves. I absolutely LOVE this woodgrain paper she sent and will be ordering some!
It was very hard to photograph, but the leaves were scored down the center and folded a bit for dimension. I wanted them to look like they were floating.
There you have it! I have so many things left, so I must come back with more cards to showcase Kara's kit. She is hosting a prize giveaway this month! Leave a comment on the 12 Kits of Occasions blog HERE for your chance to win Papertrey Ink's "Places Please" stamp and die set! You will also see the blog links for all of the kit team members, as well as a supply list for Kara's kit.

Hi Kelly! I could not wait to see what you did with the bag, great idea and it looks too pretty to open! Love the bit of added sparkle to the leaves in the vase,we always need a bit of shine. Love what you did with the vellum folded leaves too, beautiful ,beautiful cards here!
Kelly your projects are all so lovely. I love your treat bag and the way you coloured both Autumn Hills and Autumn Abundance is gorgeous. You used the vellum leaves perfectly by scoring them--big impact.
You really used Kara's kit to the fullest...love those floating leaves on the woodgrain paper...the coloring of the Autumn abundance card is beautiful...my favorite is the packaging of those beautiful gold leaves in the glassine bag. Using the glittery ribbon around the bag was a great idea to bring out the gold even more!
Fantastic cards, Kelly! I love the little glassine bags for favors, adore the BLESSINGS card with it's bold ribbon, and positively dropped my jaw over the floating leaves!! Hugs, Darnell
Gorgeous!!
They're all fabulous but LOVE the way you colored Autumn Hills and it coordinates so incredibly with the stamped panel...
I die!!
And the floating leaves...

Fabulous table favor, Kelly--the gold leaves with the glitter strip look awesome! Your coloring is beautiful and I love the soft colors on Autumn Hills that coordinate perfectly with the stamped leaves. And the vellum leaves with the woodgrain is such a wonderful design.
You did such a great job with your kit. That little treat bag is so festive and elegant, your coloring is fantastic, and those vellum leaves are wonderful. Glad I still have mine.
Kelly...stunning collection of cards and your coloring is simply perfection. My favorite card is your blessed with that beautiful brown bow and leaf patterned paper...love it!
Kelly, what a beautiful favor bag! The combo of the gold leaves and ink with the glitter tape is so elegant. Your coloring on the vase and autumn scene on the first two cards is wonderful. The bit of lace trim and leaf embossing are such sweet details, and I love your gorgeous bow on the Autumn Hills card. Your last card with the vellum leaves is so soft and lovely. The leaves really do look like they're fluttering down the front of the card. Such beautiful projects this month!
Kelly your projects are so beautiful! I just finished pinning some of them to various boards so I can hopefully CASE them someday soon. I love the way you used the vellum! And that favor bag with the gold leaves is just stunning! You always inspire me. I saw your kit picture over on the 12 kits blog tonight and am getting excited for the next round! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
Hugs!
Jill
There is something about those gold leaves that just make me swoon! What a fabulous idea to use the bags with some almonds for a little treat at the holiday table! Didn't you just LOVE the die cut words from this kit? Love how they are the focal point of your cards!
