12 Kits of Occasions-Crafty Friends!

I am so pleased to be back creating with the wonderful team at The 12 Kits of Occasions!! This month, the lovely Jeanne Jachna was the hostess, and she created an incredible kit full of supplies for all of the crafty friends in our lives!

Up first is this sweet girl from My Favorite Things “You Color My World,”

I colored her with Karin Markers and made her have a bit of a tie dye shirt! Added some beautiful rainbow patterned paper from the American Crafts “ Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope Collection” in a Hero Arts “Wood Frame Infinity Die,” and a little heart topped with Glossy Accents. The background cardstock is PTI’s Soft Stone, which really made the rainbow colors pop!

Next up, one of the sweet “Crafty Critters” from Reverse Confetti...

Of course a zebra would choose To make polka-dotted artwork (?!) This patterned paper was my starting point, and I added paintbrushes “dripping” with Glossy Accents “paint” to coordinate with the dots.

I used more Glossy Accents on the zebra’s accessories, and glitzed up his stripes with some Sakura Stardust pen.

Last was a mini card that took on a life of its own...

I used these cute “Little Painters” mice from Waffle Flower and added the paint tube and brush to their tiny little hands, and just look at what they created!

Used splatter images from my stash and decorated this Reverse Confetti tag, as well as the “crafty” die cut sentiment from Concord & 9th, with pale gray stripes. Lots of Nuvo Drops became the “paint!”

Thanks SO much to Jeanne for this amazing kit! To see what all of the 12 Kits of Occasions Designers created, as well as a supply list with all of this month’s items, head to the blog HERE! Thanks so much for stopping by!

A Beary Cozy Throwdown

This week, I decided to combine challenges to make a sweet Valentine! I used the.Color Throwdown’s navy, light blue, pink, and white palette, along with a sketch at Freshly Made Sketches by Jen Mitchell...

The “Big Bear” stamp set from Reverse Confetti paired with the Ink Blot Shop’s “Cable Knit Background” were perfect for creating a snuggly kind of Valentine!

I repeat stamped the background with my Misti using three colors of blue ink, then cut it down with a stitched rectangle die.

I colored the Big Bear with Zig Clean Color markers and a wet paintbrush on Bristol Smooth cardstock. Added some pink Nuvo drop accents and some die cut hearts to the background. I love how the bear’s arms are made to hold items from the stamp set!

Thanks so much for visiting and always leaving the beary nicest comments! ❤️ 😊

Messy Monkey Sketch

A fun sketch by Jacquie at Freshly Made Sketches that has endless possibilities!

I used Reverse Confetti’s adorable new “Crafty Critters” stamps and Confetti Cuts for my card...

I colored this funny monkey and his crafty supplies with Zig Clean Color and Tombow markers and a wet paintbrush. The splatters were made with stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps and WPlus9 Studio that I had in my stash.

Added some white Nuvo Drop “glue” and some Sakura Stardust pen accents, and  Stickles here and there, because really...what monkey would leave out glitter when crafting?! Such a fun card to make this snowy Monday. Thanks for stopping by!

The Library Challenge! #49

Playing along with my first challenge at The Library Challenge, where each week you get to be inspired by a book cover,  title, or story. How cool! This week, the challenge was entitled Anthology, and you got to choose any of this year’s covers (or last year’s, too). I was inspired by the cover of “The Note” by Zoë Folbigg.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1MhMOzLCfVbCOyLoZ8xj3Io-KMI9dI2hF

I used The Greetery”s “Christmas Care-A-Van” set, the “Hand-Drawn Heart” die from The Stamp Market, “Happy Pretty Panels” from Reverse Confetti, and “Headline Numbers” die from Papertrey Ink for my scene.

Please excuse my post as I broke my tablet screen and am trying from my new phone for the first time and I’m trying to figure out how to add an edited photo 🤣!

25 Days of Christmas Tags- Day 9

Playing some catch up for Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags, going way back to Day 9 with Pink & Main. I loved Annette Allan's sweet, funny little animals all dressed for winter...especially the bear!

I just got Reverse Confetti's "Big Bear" set, and thought he would be perfect!

I colored with Zig Clean Color and Tombow markers and a wet paintbrush. Added the hat from Reverse Confetti's "S'more Love" set. I used the Ink Blot Shop's "Cable Knit Background" and shaded it with Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Crushed Olive Distress Oxide inks. The snowflakes are heat embossed over the top with white powder and the sentiment is from PTI's "Warm & Fuzzy." I love how this turned out, thanks for the inspiration, Annette!

Day 17 at Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags was all about beautiful designs from
Pretty Pink Posh!  I loved Eloise Blue's lovely wreath tag with the fun blue sentiment banner!

I used Reverse Confetti's "Fall for You" and "Bitty Banners."  Colored the images with Zig Clear Color markers and a wet paintbrush. Added Wink of Stella pen on all of the leaves, and Nuvo Drops for detail. These wreath shaped tags are so fun!

25 Days of Christmas Tags- Day 5

Day 5 at Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags brought us Reverse Confetti! I chose
Olga Matyushevskaya's adorable mouse tag! I used Reverse Confetti's sweet "S'more Love" set for my tag...

I kept Olga's circular tag, blue gingham, black banner sentiment and sweet critter! I colored my penguin with Zig Clean Color Markers and a wet paintbrush. Added Stickles, Liquid Pearls, and Nuvo Drops for my accents.

I keep practicing my Zig Marker coloring for Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge at The Daily Marker, but I still have a heavy hand and don't quite know when to stop 😄!

Autumn Bouquet Throwdown

Beautiful fall colors for this week's Color Throwdown...purple, lavender, orange, and green!

I chose lovely stamps and stencils from The Greetery for my card. I used the Knit Wits stencil with texture paste for the base, then lightly stenciled with Tim Holtz Milled Lavender Distress Oxide Ink on the main panel. The bouquet is made with berries and wheat from Budding Beauties Autumn.

The background at the top was made using the floral and leaves stencils in the Mason Jars Filler stencil set. I added some orange Nuvo Drops, too, and a sentiment from Reverse Confetti's "Tall Blooms."

World Card Making Day with Simon Says Stamp!

It's World Card Making Day, and Simon Says Stamp showcased cards made by designers all aroumd the globe HERE!

They asked what we made today, and I used the new Simon Says Stamp Stamptember "Flora" stencil...

Unfortunately, I have a few sympathy cards to make, but I wanted one for a co-worker that was pretty and not too somber. I didn't think she would mind a little sparkle and pink to remember her mom. I heat embossed a sentiment with white powder from Reverse Confetti's "Tall Blooms."

I inked over the stencil using Tim Holtz Festive Berries Distress Oxide ink and a blending brush. Then, I shaded the flowers with watercolor markers, and added some clear Nuvo Drops for the berries, and Stickles on the bases. Added some Wink of Stella pen to the blooms as an afterthought, and so glad I did. The shimmering flowers are gorgeous, and will hopefully convey warm thoughts, and bring a smile!

HBD Sketch

A fun sketch with lots of possibilities created by Lee Ann at Freshly Made Sketches!

I turned the sketch 90 degrees to the right so I could use The Stamp Market's big "HBD" die!

Stamped some yellow gingham along the bottom, and added a die cut sentiment from The Stamp Market's Hip Hip Hooray set.

Added some big flowers from Reverse Confetti's Garden Bunch and leaves from Blooms 'N Buds, then small, purple flowers and leaves from Papertrey Ink's Floral Fantasy sets.

Some Nuvo Drops here and there to finish this sunny spring birthday card! I am also entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp "Work it Wednesday" challenge for March with the theme "spring flowers!" Thanks for stopping by!

Wreath Sketch & DT Call

At Freshly Made Sketches this week, Cécile Ribon has a lovely sketch for the holidays, as well as for their Design Team call. I decided to throw my card into the challenge and DT call mix!

Here is the sketch...

...and here is my card using Reverse Confetti's Fall for You wreath and Bitty Banners!

I stamped the wreath and colored it with Copics, then added the banner stamped in red, and some die cut and colored mini berries and flowers included in the set.

For my "lined" panel in the sketch, I used woodgrain patterned paper, and a snowy paper for the background. Coated all the leaves with Crystal Snow glitter, wish you could see the sparkle in the sunlight 😊!

A few red berry and "snowy" Nuvo Drops, and another Christmas card done!
Thanks to Cécile for the lovely sketch, and thank you for stopping by!

25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 25 Inspiration

Tracey has reached Day 25 of her celebration, but lucky for us, she has a bonus day tomorrow so we won't be sad!

Tracey featured sweet designs from Hello Bluebird, and again, I was drawn to
Francesca Vignoli's adorable tags...loved the penguins and her sweet mini scenes all colored in soft citrus pastels...with white pom pom snowballs!

I used Reverse Confetti's S'more Love set, it's so cute! Colored with Copics and added some white gel pen details.

Added some Stickles to the flames of the campfire, and Liquid Pearls to toast the marshmallow...and a mini white pom pom for her hat!

The background was made with the Hero Arts Bubble Confetti stencil for a bokeh like effect.  Used a water brush and Wink of Stella glitter brush to fade the spots a bit, and add some shimmer. Added a few stamped mini dots, and a sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps. This tag is ready for my sweet great niece who likes pink and some sparkle 💗.

25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 4 Inspiration

For Tracey's Day 4 of 25 Days of Christmas Tags, she featured Reverse Confetti! I was inspired by Kathy Schweinfurth's pretty red, blue, and pink wreath tag with its bold black and white sentiment.

I used a favorite set of mine, Reverse Confetti's Fall for You stamps and dies, as well as Whole Lotta Happy.

I stamped the wreath with Memento Nautical Blue ink and colored it with Copics. Added some mini berries from the set, die cut then dotted with red and pink Nuvo Drops. The sentiment is from Whole Lotta Happy and it's heat embossed with white powder.

The bottom is a piece of kraft cardstock that I stenciled with MFT's Snowfall Stencil and texture paste.

Rainbow Trio

Since I had my rainbow palette of watercolors out, I decided to keep going and participate in Simon Says Stamps' Monday Challenge!

This week, we were to make a "trio"of something." I took out Simon Says Stamps' sweet  "Artsy Flower Parts" and PTI's "Take Three" die to make a trio of flower boxes.

I heat embossed the flowers with white powder on watercolor paper, then die cut them when finished.  I am finding I am much more successful with watercoloring when I have the raised embossing to keep me in the lines!

The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti's "Tall Blooms" set. I like how it is a trio of words :).  Let's see if my watercoloring kick continues!

A Happy Hello

This week, Broni chose some lovely colors at the Color Throwdown Challenge Blog, and I thought they would be perfect to use with Reverse Confetti's beautiful new set, "Tall Blooms."

Here is my card...

I stamped the bottom using a mini branch from Reverse Confetti's "Fall for You" set in Versamark ink, heat embossed with clear powder, then sponged Abandoned Coral Distress Ink over the top.  I splattered it with water to soften the color, then colored the leaves with a light green Copic marker.

I cut a frame using two stitched rectangle dies from Simon Says Stamp, embossed it with PTI's Woodgrain Impression Plate, then inked it in white.  Also used Woodgrain on the white background, too, then distressed the edges.

I stamped and die cut a branch from "Tall Blooms" from kraft paper, heat embossed in white, then colored with the same green Copic marker.  Added some coral and white adhesive pearls, too.  The sentiment is also from "Tall Blooms," such a lovely font!

Reverse Confetti's shipping is lightening fast, and I want everything from their new release!  Had to start somewhere, but there is more on my list :).

Thanks for stopping by!

Reverse Confetti's Sketch for You to Try for March!

I really love "circles" in a sketch!  So this month's Sketch for You to Try at Reverse Confetti caught my eye right away!

I got out a favorite of mine, "Blooms 'N Buds," and began to make my own paper version of spring!

That little snippet of floral patterned paper was my inspiration.  I stamped flowers to match it, then got out my much loved denim paper from Crate Paper.  I have quite a few sheets, and save every little bit.  It's my favorite!

Added a sentiment banner using "Bitty Banners" layered over the "Blooms 'N Buds" flowers.

Added some little "cloudy" adhesive centers to the flowers.  Almost got this card done without any gingham...but some managed to sneak in.  Can you see it peeking? :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
