Hi everyone! It's time for this month's Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party! The theme is "felt/cozy fabrics". All of the details about participating can be found of Claire's blog HERE.
I was also inspired by the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge on Saturday which featured the webstore "Red Envelope." I never got to play along, but this "Rose Friendship Box" just stuck in my head all week!
So armed with my felt and inspiration photo, I made this card...
It seems that I am a "one-trick" pony when it comes to felt! I immediately think of rolled roses! I tucked them in a square frame cut with my nestabilities. Changed my background to light blue and stamped it with the beautiful cane print from Heirloom Patterns. The sentiment is from the set Blessed by You.
Can't wait to see all of the cozy creations today! Remember, Claire will be choosing one random participant
to win a stamp set of choice, and will also be showcasing some of the projects that were extra-special on her blog on the 27th!
Supplies:
Stamps: Heirloom Patterns & Blessed by You, Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper: PTI white and Spring Rain
Ink: A Muse Studio ink in Winter Sky, and Fresh Ink in Slate
Other: PTI Harvest Gold and Vintage Cream felt, pale yellow felt from "BenzieBazaar" at etsy.com, My Favorite Things Mini Rolled Rose Die, Spellbinders Classic Square and Petite Oval Nestabilities, gingham ribbon

Kindness
Yay, I had time to make another card this weekend! This one is for the CR84FN Color Challenge ...the color combination is oh so pretty, but was tricky for me! Mint, Blue, Neutral...
Here is my card...
When I went to Spring Fest in Buffalo last month, Cheryl Rowley made the most adorable card with the Grand Nestabilities Labels 11 for the base (will post picture soon)! Last weekend for Mother's Day, I bought the set for myself since I had a 50% off coupon from JoAnn's. You know how the coupon is for regularly-priced items only? So I approached the rack of Nesties muttering to myself, "PLEASE don't be on sale!"...and they weren't! So into my basket they went. The stamped label is from Waltzingmouse Stamps Rescue Remedies, which coordinates with Labels Four Nesties. The roses are from Roses In Bloom, and are all glittered and layered up on dimensionals. I was "unsure" of this card, and showed it to my daughters last night. Eva gave it a thumbs up, and Claire said "Too much green and blue!". Obviously, she didn't understand the challenge, ;)!
Supplies:
Stamps: Rescue Remedies & Roses In Bloom, Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper: October Afternoon "Sasparilla" (floral), Melissa Francis "Kitschy Kitchen" (mint), PTI white
Ink: PTI Blueberry Sky
Other: Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Labels 11 & Nestabilities Labels 4, Doodlebug Design Sugar Coating in "Lily White Glitter", pearls, white ribbon

Sunshine Sketch
It's a sunshiny day at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge as we get to introduce a NEW Mischief Maker! The lovely Jeanne Jachna has joined the team! Her creations always have that WOW factor, and I get so excited to click on her sketch links! She is going to be a wonderful addition to the team, yippee!
Now on to this week's sketch by sweet Lynn Mercurio! It's based on her totally awesome French Country card seen HERE!
Here's my card...
I have been so busy at work that I haven't had much time to stamp lately. So I went HOG WILD on this card, heee! I used the adorable new sets Half Pint Heroines and Compact Family with this cheerful new patterned paper from Simple Stories called "Summer Fresh"!
The little sunshine image, the fresh summer days panel, and the denim square come in the line. I just cut them out and they were ready to go! Added some gold Liquid Pearls to make the sun...shine!
Stamped the balloon on the gingham paper and the basket on a little piece that looks like burlap. PS...I am finding it very hard not to add hair accessories to the little Half Pints!
It's your turn to play along! Upload your creation HERE by next Friday, May 25th. Be sure to include at least one Waltzingmouse Stamps image on your project as a randomly-selected player will win a WMS stamp set of choice!
Supplies:
Stamps: Half Pint Heroines & Compact Family, both Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper: Simple Stories "Summer Fresh" collection, PTI white and Pure Poppy
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers, Fresh Ink in Navy
Other: Zva Creative navy pearls, Liquid Pearls in gold, blue and yellow twine from Olive Manna, buttons from PTI and A Muse Studio

Waltzingmouse May Release Previews, Day 3
Today we have another sweet set to preview for Waltzingmouse Stamps...it's Compact Sentiments 2! You will love the charming new sentiments in this set! It will be releasing on Tuesday May 8th along with the two other sets, Compact Family and Half Pint Heroines!
I chose one of the sweetest of the bunch for my project today...
You're the bee's knees! Hee! Remember a few weeks ago, when I won that retired hexagon punch set from Creative Memories on ebay? Once I saw this sentiment, I just KNEW it would be the perfect thing to use on my card. I cut various hexagons from patterned paper from the Dear Lizzie "Neopolitan" Collection from American Crafts, and then made my own hexagon patchwork background.
My die cut is from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Small Labels set. Can I say that I have never used my Nesties as a stencil to add shading?! Well, I am absolutely hooked on doing this now! I just love the soft look. My little sparkly bees are from the previously released L'il Buddies set. Made my own paper rose from cardstock cut into a spiral and sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. The leaves are from Sewing Box-Hugs. I just how warm this card looks with the cozy feel of pale yellow, white, and kraft ( a recent combination from Mona's CR84FN Challenge)!
Ready for more fun sentiments from Compact Sentiments 2? Off you go to see what the other DT members made for today! See you back tomorrow for the Design Team Release Day Blog Waltz at 2:00 PM EST, when Claire releases the sets in the store! Keep your eye on Claire's blog, too, as she will be announcing the details for the traditional release day competition for a chance to win new stamp sets!

Waltzingmouse Stamps May Release Previews, Day 2
Another set to debut for Waltzingmouse Stamps...and it's one that we have all been waiting for! A set dedicated to sentiments for your family, and Claire has EVERYONE covered! It's called Compact Family, and it's in the same sweet font as Compact Sentiments!
First up is a card for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. This paper from Melissa Frances' Kitschy Kitchen collection made me think of her delicious pies!
I thought she deserved a blue ribbon! Used the Woodrow Rosette die from Memory Box, and placed it over the heart from Seasons of Love-Tags. Added the "No. 1" from Compact Family in the center. The little tails are made with Bitty Banners.
Now on the inside is where the fun really begins! Claire has included both family members AND lovely phrases that will all mix and match. Each line on this sentiment is a separate image. Another super cool feature is that the M is separate, too. She included "om" for Mom, and "um" for Mum!!
I don't send my two sisters "hugs with folds in the middle" very often...and this sentiment gave me the kick start I needed to get one done for my sister Jill who lives in New Jersey! Stamped the background using both Faux Fun and the heart pattern from Nordic Spring. Used colors to match the My Mind's Eye "Stella Rose" paper that I used on the Sewing Box-Hugs birdie.
Tucked my hug behind his little wing. Made a little nest for him to sit in with the coordinating knit image from Faux Fun Circles.
Just wait until you see all of the different sentiments that will be revealed today! Claire has packed this set to the hilt, and I can't wait to browse along myself. See you back here tomorrow for the reveal of the third set!

Waltzingmouse Stamps May Release Previews, Day 1
Happy Saturday! Welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps previews for May! Claire will be releasing three wonderful stamp sets on Tuesday, May 8th. Today we are previewing the much anticipated companion set for Half-Pint Heroes....finally we have Half Pint Heroines! This set has the most adorable sentiments that you will ever find for a little girl. And the images?...why, they will knock your socks off with their cuteness!
First up is a card featuring the hot air balloon!!
Funny how we get a little girl set, and I run for the primary colors, hee! I could not resist pairing this set with papers from the My Mind's Eye Everyday Flair collection. Isn't the sentiment so sweet? It will go perfectly with Half Pint Heroes, too (as will all of the images in this set)! The chevron border was made with dies from My Favorite Things.
I paper-pieced the balloon sections with various papers and added some fun punched flowers with pearls to turn up the girly factor :) Even though the sentiment says "Aim High Kid", I could not resist putting my two little girls in the basket (even though in real life Eva and Claire both have blonde hair and look much like the girly on the right :))
Next up is a card that features a sketch that I created for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog this week. Play along HERE! This card features a softer side of Half Pint Heroines...
These "Once upon a time..." sentiments are my absolute favorites from the set. Claire thought of the sweetest things to say to provide encouragement for all of the little girls in our lives. I thought of how happy my girls will be when they get cards with these! Used some more papers from My Mind's Eye, but this time I used the Miss Caroline Howdy Doody Collection. Tucked this heroine inside an image from Oval-Classic Frames.
I paper-pieced this sweet girl's dress with the papers and then shaded a bit with Copics. I colored right over the bunny, too...kind of like how the pattern shows through. Makes him look all worn and quilty :)
Come back tomorrow to see another fantastic set that will be releasing on Tuesday. But for now, RUN to these blogs to see more adorable creations featuring Half Pint Heroines!
