12 Kits of Occasions-Crafty Friends!

I am so pleased to be back creating with the wonderful team at The 12 Kits of Occasions!! This month, the lovely Jeanne Jachna was the hostess, and she created an incredible kit full of supplies for all of the crafty friends in our lives!

Up first is this sweet girl from My Favorite Things “You Color My World,”

I colored her with Karin Markers and made her have a bit of a tie dye shirt! Added some beautiful rainbow patterned paper from the American Crafts “ Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope Collection” in a Hero Arts “Wood Frame Infinity Die,” and a little heart topped with Glossy Accents. The background cardstock is PTI’s Soft Stone, which really made the rainbow colors pop!

Next up, one of the sweet “Crafty Critters” from Reverse Confetti...

Of course a zebra would choose To make polka-dotted artwork (?!) This patterned paper was my starting point, and I added paintbrushes “dripping” with Glossy Accents “paint” to coordinate with the dots.

I used more Glossy Accents on the zebra’s accessories, and glitzed up his stripes with some Sakura Stardust pen.

Last was a mini card that took on a life of its own...

I used these cute “Little Painters” mice from Waffle Flower and added the paint tube and brush to their tiny little hands, and just look at what they created!

Used splatter images from my stash and decorated this Reverse Confetti tag, as well as the “crafty” die cut sentiment from Concord & 9th, with pale gray stripes. Lots of Nuvo Drops became the “paint!”

Thanks SO much to Jeanne for this amazing kit! To see what all of the 12 Kits of Occasions Designers created, as well as a supply list with all of this month’s items, head to the blog HERE! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Zesty Sketch

This week at Freshly Made Sketches was a fun one by Kim with lots of fun possibilities!

I chose a new background cling stamp by Pinkfresh Studio called “Lemon Lush” as my starting point, heat embossed on white paper with white powder.

I used Zig Clean Color Markers and a wet paintbrush to color, then added a hello die by The Stamp Market cut from gingham and blue paper and layered.

For the layered lines in the set, I added a sentiment from Papertrey Ink on vellum, a strip of white cardstock, and vellum flowers made with The Stamp Market’s “Bloominous” set.  Not sure of my color scheme, but The background is beautiful and so much fun to color!

Lily Throwdown

This week’s color combination at the Color Throwdown is a beautiful bright palette chosen by Amy Rysavy, just perfect for spring...fuschia, purple, lime green, and gray!

The Greetery’s lovely BotaniCuts Lily and Palm die sets arrived just in time for me to create a card for the challenge!

I watercolored the pieces with my Zig Clean Color Markers and a wet paintbrush. I made a light watercolor wash background, then used the negative piece from cutting the palm fronds as a stencil with some a Weathered Wood Distress Oxide Ink.

The sentiment is from The Greetery’s “Pretty Postmarks.” Betsy Veldman makes the most beautiful products that are so easy to create with!

Inspired by Elmer

This week at The Library Challenge, the book to be inspired by is an old fave of mine...”Elmer” by David McKee!

I chose to make a watercolored card using Mama Elephant’s “Ella & Friends set,” die cut letters, and the “Windowpane Plaid Background” from the Greetery!

I heat embossed watercolor paper with the plaid using white powder, then used a Paul Rubens watercolors over the top. Added the watercolored letters and lots of Nuvo Drops bubbles. So much fun to make!

A Beary Cozy Throwdown

This week, I decided to combine challenges to make a sweet Valentine! I used the.Color Throwdown’s navy, light blue, pink, and white palette, along with a sketch at Freshly Made Sketches by Jen Mitchell...

The “Big Bear” stamp set from Reverse Confetti paired with the Ink Blot Shop’s “Cable Knit Background” were perfect for creating a snuggly kind of Valentine!

I repeat stamped the background with my Misti using three colors of blue ink, then cut it down with a stitched rectangle die.

I colored the Big Bear with Zig Clean Color markers and a wet paintbrush on Bristol Smooth cardstock. Added some pink Nuvo drop accents and some die cut hearts to the background. I love how the bear’s arms are made to hold items from the stamp set!

Thanks so much for visiting and always leaving the beary nicest comments! ❤️ 😊

Signed & Sealed Throwdown

I loved the colors at this week’s Color Throwdown ...red, dark gray, light gray, and white!

I am having a hard time crafting without ROSES! Used The Greetery’s BotaniCuts Rose to add a bit of red to my card...

I colored the rose and rosebud with Distress Oxide inks on Bristol Smooth cardstock. Used Signed & Sealed and Signed & Sealed with a Kiss stamps and dies by The Greetery for the envelope, sentiments, and cute wax seal which I embossed in silver.  Added leaves and sprigs from the Inside & Out Berry Branch die, too. The patterned paper is The Gingham Farm collection ❤️ which I got at Hobby Lobby.

The background was made with Stampin Up’s 3D Woodgrain embossing folder and the little notebook paper with a background that is vintage Cornish Heritage Farms 😊❤️. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Romeo, Romeo...

This week at The Library Challenge, the book chosen was “Romeo & Juliet!” Here is the cover inspiration...

I used products from The Greetery for my card...

I used a watercolored rose cut with the “BotaniCuts Rose” dies (left over from last weekend’s crafting session), a sentiment from “Written in Ribbons,” and leaf sprigs from “Signed and Sealed with a Kiss.”  I cut a window and made an outside frame with “Nordic Frame” Dirs for my balcony window.

The “Brick and Mortar 3D Embossing Folder” from Stampin’ Up was perfect to complete my Shakespeare castle look! Thanks so much for stopping by!
