Today's sketch at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog is a reeeeealllly fun one by fabulous DT member, Anya Schrier! It's for a TAG, yippee!
I find that I am never ready when it comes time to wrapping gifts at Christmas. I always have cards ready to go, but not enough cute tags to attach to my gifts. This sketch was the perfect thing to get me going, and I can see myself using it many more times in the months to come! I always have plain old kraft or red bags around the house, and this little tag will fit perfectly with one of them at Christmas time!
I immediately thought of my Half-Baked Gingerbread Joy stamp set! I stamped a manilla tag with the larger pattern from Gingham & Co. in Sage Fresh Ink available at Impress Rubber Stamps. I created some presents using the checkerboard pattern from Off Beat Backgrounds and tied them with string :)
The gingerbread men were stamped with Fresh Ink in Honey on Vintage Cream cardstock, and touched up the edges with some Tea Dye Distress ink. The texture is very "cookie-like" I think! Added some white Liquid Applique icing that I puffed up with my embossing gun! That sentiment? It's also from Half-Baked Gingerbread Joy, and is probably one of the cutest ones that I have ever seen!
Tag now YOU'RE it! Post your tag creation HERE by next Friday. Be sure to use at least one Waltzingmouse Stamps image on your creation to be eligible to be the randomly-selected participant to win a WMS stamp set of choice!

Sweetest Witch Sketch
WMS Design Team member Sarah Martina Parker has a two-for-one special at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog this week! There you will find both a sketch for a card (as seen above), but also a sketch for a scrapbook page!
(click on the picture for a slightly larger view)
I had so much fun using Gracie at Halloween. She just flew in on her broom from Ireland after the August 1st special release! I paper pieced her outfit using papers from the Queen Bee Collection by Pink Paislee. An unusual color scheme for me, but so much fun!
I have only a limited number of Copic Markers, so I brightened the dots on her cloak with a yellow marker, and added some shading. I realized after the fact that she is wearing a coat AND a cape separately, but today since it's all the same pattern, I am calling it a cloak... and sticking to it! Colored the teeny kitty with grey ink and a sponge dauber. Added lots of dimensionals, and sprinkled the edges of the moon with coarse glitter. Oh I just love that Gracie! The equally sweet Cicely at Halloween will be featured soon. I couldn't bring one girl home and not the other ;)
Come play along with one of these awesome sketches! Upload your creation HERE by next Friday, August 27th. Be sure to include at least one Waltzingmouse Stamps image in your creation to be eligible to be the randomly-selected participant who will win a WMS set of choice!
Supplies:
Stamps: witch, sentiment and two bats from Gracie at Halloween, and another bat from Cicely at Halloween, both from Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper: The Queen Bee Collection, Pink Paislee, and PTI's Vintage Cream and Harvest Gold cardstock
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, Memento London Fog
Other: circle punch, Martha Stewart clear coarse glitter, brown rick rack

Waltzingmouse Tea Time Blog Waltz
It's high time for tea time at Waltzingmouse Stamps! This month's theme is a tea party. I made a card with several stamps that had yet to see ink ((gasp))!
This cute little set of circular hearts from L'il Buddies was calling to me, and actually that's where I started! Then I saw the teeny heart that also comes in that set, and decided to add it to the tea cups from Afternoon Tea. The sentiment is from Afternoon Tea Sentiments. The little hearts near the sentiment are ancient little brads. I forget to use brads these days!
I stamped the hearts on a nestie circle, and then cut out a smaller nestie circle on the inside to make a frame. Stamped the cups so that they were overlapping, and then paper pieced them back together with some added dimension. It's very difficult to see but the cups have polka dots from Off Beat Backgrounds, just like the background I made on the kraft paper!
Enjoy your cuppa Waltzingmouse Stamps today...always good for the soul, I think ;)!
Supplies:
Stamps: cup and steam from Afternoon Tea, sentiment from Afternoon Tea Sentiments, circular heart and mini heart from L'il Buddies, and polka dots from Off Beat Backgrounds, all Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper: PTI White and Kraft
Ink: Memento Black, Tim Holtz Barn Door and Antique Linen Distress inks, VersaMagic Wheat, PTI Fresh Snow
Other: gingham ribbon, Standard Circles Small Nestabilities, twine, heart brads from JoAnn's
(PS: If you click on the picture, it appears slightly clearer in the pop up window)

Kindness Sketch
How about another sketch from me at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog? This sketch is my favorite that I have created so far...
Here is my card:
Used 4 different sets for my folksy flower card, the circles and leaves from Rescue Remedies, the little berried branch from Faux Fun Circles, the bracket from Very Vintage Labels No. 1 (coordinates with Spellbinders Labels One Nestabilities), and a beautiful sentiment from Blessed by You. Accented the flowers with adhesive pearls, and tucked some White Opal Liquid Pearls all in between!
Just wait until you see what the other Mischief Makers have come up with! Such beautiful samples with all different kinds of "toppers" as Edna Morrisedie calls them! Upload your creation HERE by next Friday. Be sure to include at least one Waltzingmouse Stamps image on your creation to be eligible to be the randomly-selected winner to receive a stamp set of choice. Also, upload your card to the Waltzingmouse Stamps Gallery in the store, and you might just be declared the BIG CHEESE of the week on Claire's blog!
Supplies:
Stamps: Faux Fun Circles, Rescue Remedies, Very Vintage Labels No. 1, and Blessed by You, all Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, Scarlet Jewel, Fine Linen
Ink: SU Cherry Cobbler, ColorBox Chesnut, VersaColor Bamboo, Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress ink, VersaMagic Wheat

Knots, and Felt, and Glitter, oh my!
More Dare to Get Dirty Challenges! For this little number, I made my own felt flower with PTI's Pure Poppy and Vintage Cream felt, Beautiful Blooms II #2 flower dies, and some aqua embroidery floss tied into french knots. Patterned paper by October Afternoon, the Modern Homemaker Collection. The flower pot is from PTI's Green Thumb set, and the sentiment and tag from Tiny Tags.
While that October Afternoon paper was out, I tried this card:
Used Teeny Trees by Waltzingmouse Stamps. This challenge was called "What's in a Name?"...well,
K: Knots (french knot apples!)
E: Embossing Folder (swiss dots!)
L: Little Bird stickers
L: Love you sentiment
Y: YELLOW
Another challenge was to make your own embellishment. I had some plain heart stick pinks, so I added 2 beads and some ribbon to make it fancy like the ones I see in blog land!
Last, something sweet...a sparkly cupcake tag. Used PTI's Tag Sale #4 die and the cupcake from Baby Buttons Bits. The sentiment is from Tag Its #3. Of course Martha Stewart's clear coarse glitter was my topping of choice.
I think that I have completed about 20 challenges combined...but that STILL leaves 14 to finish if I want to officially say that I "Dared to Get Dirty" at Splitcoaststampers this year :)!

Sugar-Coated Sketch
Another one from me at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog this week! Ohhh, isn't it a tricky one? Almost tricked myself once I went to use it, hee!
Those little crisscrossing flaps made me think of wrapping up in something warm and fuzzy, and so that's how this card started...
Used one of my favorite stamps of all times from Waltzingmouse Stamps...the sweater pattern from Faux Fun! When I first got the set, I think that I used it on everything that I made for a good 3 weeks :) Decided to keep with a winter theme. Sewing Box-Christmas called me last week. It said it was getting very upset that I kept showcasing Sewing Box-Hugs, and said it was high time that I got it out again. It didn't care that it was August!! The candy cane is positively sugar-coated with coarse glitter from Martha Stewart, you should see it sparkle!
Supplies:
Stamps: sentiment and candy cane from Sewing Box-Christmas, sweater pattern from Faux Fun, both Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream and Pure Poppy
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, red Copic markers, Fresh Ink in Basil, Tim Holtz Distress ink in Antique Linen
Other: Martha Stewart coarse glitter (clear), twine, buttons, Tiny Tags die from Papertrey ink, and red jingle bells!

Yellow's in Bloom
It's the weekend, so I've got some Dare to Get Dirty catching up to do! This one's for Joanne's and Jami's challenges. Colored the flower from Papertrey Ink's In Bloom with Copic markers, and popped up the inner portion with a dimensional. Added some black ribbon and a rhinestone to make my yellow blooom! I pleated Shimmer Damask patterned paper from A Muse Studio at the bottom. Added a Tiny Tag from PTI with a sentiment from PTI's Tranquility Trilogy!

Vintage Ride
Another for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges...this one for Edna's and Christina's challenges...
Paper-pieced the Enjoy the Ride car with map paper from October Afternoon's Thrift Shop Collection. The rest is jazzed up with either a background stamp, or the Woodgrain Impression plate from Papertrey Ink. The little sentiment tag is part of Mat Stack 2. When I was trying to line up the sentiment, the "ride" part ended up on the blue cardstock, and I kind of liked it that way!
Supplies:
Stamps: car, sentiment, license plate sentiment, all from Enjoy the Ride, Papertrey Ink, Linen and Sanded Backgrounds, retired Stampin Up, Distressed Corduroy and Canvas Cover-A Card Backgrounds, Impression Obsession
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, Aqua Mist, Kraft, and October Afternoon Thrift Shop dp
Ink: Stazon Timber Brown and Jet Black, Tim Holtz Distress inks in Pumice Stone, Tea Dye, Antique Linen, PTI Ocean Tides, VersaColor Bamboo and Sahara Sand inks
Other: PTI Woodgrain Impression Plate, Mat Stack 2, pinked square die from Button Boutique die set, Papertrey Ink, buttons, chocolate/white twine from Martha Stewart, Glossy Accents by Ranger, dew drops

An apple a day...
Did some dry brushing with Plaid's Folk Art paint in Lemonade around the edges. Colored the apple basket from Waltzingmouse Stamps "Peace and Plenty" set with Copics in my very beginner way! Good thing I had red for the apples, but no brown for the basket! Stamped the striped paper to match at the bottom using Papertrey Ink's Faux Ribbon set. The tag and sentiment are from PTI's Tiny Tags stamp set/die set. Love that little heart tag, can never resist adding different paper to the back of the tag!
