Jersey Shore Sketch

This week at Freshly Made Sketches, the sketch was to make a slimline card design!

I used The Greetery’s new Destination: Summer stamps, stencils, and dies, and Trinity Stamps “Slimline Stitched” dies for my card.

I stenciled the background using the Waterfront stencils in the Destination: Summer stencil set. These stencils are made for an A2 card, but with a little adjusting, you can extend the pattern for the whole length of the card.

I stamped and die cut images from the Destination: Summer set, and used The Greetery’s “Slim Alphabet” dies for my words.

Our destination is the Jersey Shore on Monday...Long Beach Island (affectionately called LBI which I added with mini stamps from PTI’s tiny Simple Alphabet set on my compass piece). We’re going to see my family with a plan to stay close to their home while there...but hoping that Hurricane Isaias doesn’t throw another wrench in our plans!

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, I love this...I predict a winner! Such a sweet shoreline, perfect for a slim card! I have spent many a summer day at Wildwood and Cape May....but we're really Delaware beach fans! No matter, ANY beach is a good beach, and this is a totally awesome card!

This is a phenomenal card! The stenciled map is so well done, the placement of the car, bicycle, compass, etc. are so well done and the overall card is just to die for! Love, love, love it!

How did you move your stencil to repeat some of it to make it longer? I love it! All of your cards are amazing, by the way. I am a big fan!!!!!!
