Snow Family Throwdown

This week at the Color Throwdown Challenge the colors are icy, wonderland perfection…ice blue, pink, and gold…

I had to use the whole Snow family from Sizzix/Tim Holtz for my card! “Twigs and Stump,” with their kids “Chilly and Freezy”…the fun Diecember Limited Edition set by Tim Holtz and Simon Says Stamp!

I framed their Christmas card photo pic with Papertrey Ink’s “Shape Shifters Square 3” dies and used a sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps “Alpine Christmas.” The gingham background is made with The Greetery’s “Square Dance” stencils.

This color combination is SNOW much fun!  Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Wreaths Throwdown

Ohh a bit of a trick (but also a treat to try) with this week’s Color Throwdown …plum, blush, and sage!

I made a background with The Greetery’s “Print Shop: Calico” and some mini eucalyptus wreaths with “Mini Boxwood Wreath Stamp & Cut!”

I added a sentiment and some little floral elements from “Birthday Blooms” and “Blessed Blooms.” This card reminds me of 80’s proms and curtains 😂…but it will be fun to send in the spring!

Thanks for stopping by! ❤️

Coneflower Throwdown

Love the sunny colors at Color Throwdown  this week…turquoise, yellow, green, and brown!

I used the amazing Honey Bee Stamps “Lovely Layers:: Coneflower” dies!  The background was made with The Greetery’s “Square Dance” stencils and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in “Uncharted Mariner” and “Peacock Feathers.” The sentiment is made with The Greetery’s “Sentiment Starter” dies and “Bold Alphabet” dies. I am on a never-ending quest to align die cut letters 🙄😂! They always look SO straight to me, until the glue dries 15 minutes later. It’s like they wiggle around behind my back ðŸĪŠ!

Gorgeous colors this week CTD! Thanks for stopping by! ☀️

Fall Porch Fusion

This weekend craft therapy was in order, and I always turn to my favorite challenges for a brain getaway! This week at the Fusion Card Challenge was this lovely “Front Porch” inspiration photo!

I loved the colors and flower mix! Used The Greetery’s “BotaniCuts “ Collection including “Sunflowers,” “Lavender,” and “Pussy Willows,” along with “”Let’s Have a Word: Autumn,” a mini hello from “Curio: Labels,”  and ivy from “Macra-made for You Fillers.”

The background was made with the “Shiplap Builder” dies and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Weathered Wood, Milled Lavender, and Hickory Smoke, painted over with white gouache, and splattered up a bit. So fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by! 💛💜

Woodsy Arches Sketch

This week I combined two challenges on one card…the Color Throwdown colors of aqua. Kraft, and cream

And Cecile’s beautiful sketch at

I used The Greetery’s “Tartan Plaid Background” stencils over Kraft cardstock, along with “BotaniCuts: Toadstools” and “BotaniCuts: Mighty Oak,” a sentiment from “Hoop Wreath,” and some paint splattered “Essential Arches” from Ellen Hutson.

This card was heavy on the Kraft, so I thought that some moody mushrooms were in order. It was so much fun to distress those little arches and add blue to the leaves!

Thanks for stopping by!

Autumn Bouquet Throwdown

This week’s Color Throwdown was my trickiest combination yet… pink, coral, purple, and green!

A perfect fall jewel tone palette, but not colors I teach for as much! I used many stamps and dies from The Greetery…

I reached for “Budding Beauties: Autumn” first, then made a bouquet with “It’s a Wrap: Posy Pocket,” “BotaniCuts: Wheat,” two “Plucked” dandelions that I turned pink, “Let’s Have a Word: Autumn,” “PreText Sentiments “ and die, “Seed Catalog Background,” and a Woodgrain background front Hero Arts!

School starts here TOMORROW!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ocean Fusion

For this week’s Fusion Card Challenge, the inspiration was “Seagull Beach” with this beautiful color scheme…

I used Papertrey Ink’s “Salt Air Collection” for my card….including the “Flora” and “Fauna” stamps and dies, and the coordinating “Salt Air: Sentiments” set.

The background is made with Stampin’ Up’s “Gentle Waves” background stamp using lots of Distress Oxide Inks and my Misti to repeat stamp/blend them.

I just returned from Manahawkin and Long Beach Island in New Jersey (the Jersey Shore!), and I miss it already!

Lakefront Throwdown

A tricky color scheme this week at the Color Throwdown…black, green, brown, and white! What?! No pink, red, blue, YELLOW?!?! 😂

But I got it done, though, with a nature card using The Greetery’s stamp and dies!

I used “Sitting Pretty,” “Sitting Pretty Accessories,” “Reflections,” a bit of greenery from “Macra-made Fillers,” and a sentiment from “Fresh Air.” I didn’t even cheat, the water is technically a light gray neutral color, haha!  It really is so much fun to go out of your color comfort zone and try something new.

Thanks for stopping by! ❤️

Beach Tiers Fusion

I was so inspired by this “Beach Tiers” photo at the Fusion Card Challenge! It reminded me of my days growing up at the Jersey Shore, and our upcoming vacation to LBI!

I got out some new and old favorites from Papertrey Ink and the Greetery including (PTI) “ Salt Air: Flora,” “ Salt Air: Fauna,” “Sand Swatch,” “Just Sentiments: A Happy Hello” and  (The Greetery) “Curio: Divider and Details” (1). “Curii: Summer Findings,” “Pretty Postmarjs,” and “Create-a-Crate.”

Spellbinders for Christmas!

I am so excited to share a card featuring amazing new products from Spellbinders Paper Arts! They just released two beautiful new collections for the holidays.

How amazing is the new “Ice Skate” die from the Winter Garden Collection?! Had me reminiscing about days when I sat glued to the TV watching the Olympics. I had a Dorothy Hamill doll in 1976, and practiced layback spins and double axels in the middle of our living room in the 80’s (getting big laughs, but no applause 😂 from my Mom and sisters)!

I paired the skate with the new “Stylized Merry Christmas” die from the Celebrate the Season Collection. The gold accents perfectly match their beautiful “Cheerful Occasions” paper pack. I topped my skates with a sweet “Mini Bow!”

I can’t wait to give this one to my sister this Christmas! Be sure to visit Spellbinders Paper Arts to see more of these amazing holiday collections!

Fusion Card’s Hello Hat!

Playing along with the Fusion Card Challenge this week, with this sweet hat door decor as inspiration…

I was also inspired by Betsy Veldman’s bee card for the “Sweet & Sunny” release…

She paired the largest bee from the “Honey Bees” die set with the “AlphaBuds Bold Floral Details” dies and stamps!  I used the “Leaves All Around” stencils for my background, and a sentiment from The Stamp Market’s “Have a Nice Day” stamp set. I love botanical labels and these sets are perfect to recreate them in all kinds of styles!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy 20th Birthday, Spellbinders!

I am so lucky to be participating in Spellbinders Paper Arts 20th birthday celebration! They are launching a special “Birthday Celebrations Collection” with all kinds of products to make sending fun birthday cards a breeze!

My card features a balloon bouquet featuring papers from the sweet “Cheerful Occasions Paper Pad” (SCS-91) cut with the  “Color Block Balloons” dies (S4-1201). They are all tied up with a perfect “Mini Bow” die cut (S1-055). I added a background with the “Hand Drawn Scallops” embossing folder (SES-038). The glittery gold sentiment is cut with the dainty “Stylized Happy Birthday” die (S2-342).

I have loved the innovative Spellbinders dies and products since my first die purchase 20 years ago…still have that set, and use them all the time! I’m so excited that I got to celebrate this birthday milestone with them! 💕

I made a funky, preppy floral bouquet with stamps, dies, and stencils from The Greetery!

I used the big, bold blooms from “Lovely Blossoms,” small floral clusters from “Print Shop: Fresh Floral,” and the sentiment combo of “Sentiments Squared” and “Opposites Attract.” The background was made using the “Tartan Builder Diagonal” stencils (of course)! Most of my inks were Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks…particularly in Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina, and Chipped Sapphire…with a few extra shades of ink thrown in!

I made a card for a favorite teacher…

Patterned Bunnies!

Playing along with the Fusion Card Challenge’s “Cloth Bunnies” this week!

I used my favorite bunnies of all time from The Greetery’s “Bunny Hop” stamp and stencil set!

I stamped some old gingham and ticking stripe background stamps, using the stencil as a mask, to decorate my bunnies. The base is stamped with Impression Obsession’s “Cover A Card: Screen.”

The sentiment is a combination of The Greetery’s “All Kinds of Happy” die and a banner sentiment from “Springtime.”

Macrame & Bunnies Throwdown

Playing along with a fun and unique set of Color Throwdown this week…tan, yellow, gray, and black!

I decided to add a lot of white in the background for an airy spring card!

I used The Greetery’s “Bunny Hop” stamps, stencils, and die set and a sentiment from “All Kinds of Happy” (stamp set, die, and shadow die, too).

The background was made with elements from The Greetery’s “Macrame” set of die products. So much fun to mix and match!
