Waltzingmouse Stamps Release Day Blog Waltz!

Hello!  I am sure that you have arrived here on the waltz from Clare Buswell's blog, but if you got lost along the way you can head back to Claire Brennan's blog to see the full list!

Release day is finally here!  Claire saved 2 of the sweetest sets for last, Candy Jar Christmas and Candy Jar Christmas Fillers!  These sets are packed with adorable treats, and also pay homage to an underappreciated, but very productive, member of the North Pole Staff....MRS. CLAUS!!

I expect that a notebook just like this is tucked in good ole Mrs. Claus's purse!  I call this the "Black Friday" notebook!  For those of you that don't know, Black Friday is the shopping day after Thanksgiving here in the United States.  I made these a few years ago and gave one to my sister, niece, and friend when we met at a favorite store at 6:00 AM!  I tucked in in a clear bag with a candy bar and a pen, and called it their Black Friday Survival Pack (the chocolate was just in case we got hungry when waiting in a long line)!

The circular label was made with images from the Candy Jar Christmas set, and the little bow is from Candy Jar Christmas Fillers The background is made with Gingham & Co., and a little poinsettia from Big Blooms-Poinsettias.  I think Mrs. Claus would approve of this print!  Hey, Santa Claus isn't the only one who makes a list, and checks it twice!

I just took a piece of cardstock, and scored it twice in the center to form a "book" around a little notepad.  I secured the pad to the back with red line tape.  On the other side, I made a little pocket.   I taped it down on the left and bottom side, so that there was room to tuck coupons inside!  The very important "No Peeking" sentiment is from Santa is Coming to Town!

Up next is the Candy Jar Christmas Fillers set!  My red ink pads left me a note on my stamping table this morning.  They said that they would like to be paid overtime for their extensive use during this release...this time I used Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress ink!

Each element of the jar is a separate image, but they are so easy to stamp, mix, and match!  Have you ever seen sweeter gingerbread?  They are embossed with white powder, and then (Claire's idea), I waterbrushed in some Tea Dye and Brushed Corduroy distress inks.  The little circular label at the top is from Candy Jar Christmas Fillers.  I stamped the little peppermint on the inside, as it was a perfect fit!

There you have it!  I have so enjoyed working with each set, and I cannot wait until these goodies arrive on your doorsteps!  REMEMBER:  Leave a comment on each DT Member's Blog as you waltz, as 1 random comment will be chosen, and the winner will receive a stamp set of choice!

Thanks so much for your sweet comments this week, they are so encouraging and appreciated!

And now, your next stop on the waltz......LYNN'S BLOG!
