12 Kits of Occasions...Kara's Birthday Kit!

Hi everyone!  So glad to be back to 12 Kits of Occasion projects with these awesome ladies, and I thank them SO MUCH for being patient and kind to me during my stamping hiatus!  I'll be posting some projects over the next month featuring kits that I missed from Jeanne, Joyce, Marybeth, and Tracey. Even though school is back in session as of Wednesday, I'm thinking things might slow down a bit...at least for September!

But on to Kara's amazing kit of the month with the theme of BIRTHDAY!  We got a wonderful bunch of stamped items and dies from WPlus 9( (even the Ink Splats stamp set!), Paper Smooches, Papertrey Ink, and Simon Says Stamp!

Up first is a floral card with the WPlus 9 stamp set and coordinating dies..."Spring Blooms."  I love their sets of mini flowers!

Paired the Curved Card die from Simon Says Stamp with the flowers and a sentiment from WPlus9's  More Fresh Cuts, and the blossom images from Fresh Cut Florals.  The chevron embossing folder is from Lifestyle Crafts.

The next two cards were my girls' favorites.  I will keep these as templates for the birthday parties they attend...and see some shopping in my near future! ;)

I used the sweet balloons from Whole Lotta' Happy and the sentiment and die cut banner from Simon Says Stamp's "Tilted Banners."

Kara sent us the coolest glossy paper from DCWV called "Whiteboard" and once I used it, I wanted it on everything!  It really gives cards a fun modern feel and makes the colorful images and paper pop!

Kara also generously included the WPlus9 stamp set "Ink Splats" in our package!  I combined it with my WMS "Splat It" set to make this card...

And last, a tag...or course!  My daughter Claire will be turning 9 in October, and I made a tag for her...

The tumbling number die cuts are from WPlus9's  Modern Numerals die and the arrow is from Paper Smooches Cardbooking 1 die set.  I stamped the "9" with "Ink Splats" again.

Some Wink of Stella glitter pen on the die cuts and more of that delicious "Whiteboard" paper for the tag, cut with a Hero Arts die.

Can't leave without some contest information!  Kara not only gave us each a WPlus9 "Ink Splats" set...but there is one for a lucky winner TOO!  Be sure to stop by Kara's blog HERE for your chance to win, and visit our guest designer Alanna's blog HERE!

Thanks SO much for visiting today!

  9. Sorry I'm late to the party Kelly! The Labor Day holiday had me sneaking peeks so DH wouldn't catch me interrupting "Family Time"! I love your post - especially the first with the hot pink embossed background and beautiful flower arrangement. Your balloons with the colorful background are so HAPPY and the prettiest inksplats I have ever seen. A rainbow of color!
