It's time for another Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz, and this month's theme is Christmas/Winter!
I have been collecting some 6x6 Christmas-themed patterned paper pads lately! In the past when I have purchased papers, I then had trouble incorporating them into projects. So I have been trying new things, and actually USING what I buy! When I saw the Peppermint Collection by Crate paper, I knew that I wanted to combine it with the new WMS set Santa's Coming to Town!
Those lovely traditional colors with the text all about Santa was a perfect fit. I used the Santa silhouette from Santa's Coming to Town, and a label from Very Vintage Labels No. 1, which coordinates with Spellbinders Labels One Nestabilities.
I stamped the image in Versamark, and embossed it with black powder. It fits perfectly over the little circle in the center of this image, with just enough peeking out to look like a pinked edge!
Can't wait to see all of the Christmas projects today! If you would like to participate, or follow along and visit the other participants' blogs, just look HERE in the Waltzingmouse Forum!

ReplyDeleteIt just doesn't get any more perfect, Kelly. The simple silhouette against those wonderful busy patterns couldn't have been better chosen. Glad you stopped hoarding those pads!!:) I was visiting the Smethers family in CA last week and told them I had had the personal pleasure of meeting you IRL and that you truly were as sweet as you seemed even tho' you put Bubba on the naughty list. He does appear to have some Grizzly in him, but on closer inspection it is really all teddy bear!!:) Hugs and Happy Waltzing; I enjoy seeing those creative fingers dance...(I'm off to make curried rice and turkey for dinner)
