Compliments and Pinecones Sketch

Happy October!  Happy World Card Making Day!  It's time to stop folding laundry, washing dishes, and mopping the floor in order to take time to be crafty.  In fact, it's time that you get a head start on some holiday tags using Claire's taggy sketch this week at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog!

Here's mine:

Used the lovely pine bough from Festive Foliage, and sentiment from Compliments of the Season.  I used a whole die cut's worth of my much-loved basket weave paper from The Paper Company.  Usually I only use a snippet!  I bought the last sheet at our local store and am afraid that they don't seem to be re-stocking!

To add some dimension, I used the true paper tole technique (3 layers) on the big pinecone, and used 2 layers on the little one.  I fussy cut those pine needles and they're authentically sharp now!  Finally got some rusty jingle bells in 3 different sizes from an online shop called...Rusty Tin
Now it's your turn to play along.  Upload your creation HERE by next Friday, and be sure to include at least 1 Waltzingmouse Stamps image on your project, so you will be eligible to be the randomly-selected participant to win a stamp set of choice!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Festive Foliage, Compliments of the Season, both Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper:  basket weave specialty paper from The Paper Company, and PTI Vintage Cream cardstock
Ink:  VersaColor Bamboo and Evergreen, Color Box Chesnut, Tim Holtz Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress inks, SU Cranberry Crisp
Other:  PTI Tag Sale #4 die, twine, gingham ribbon, paper piercer, circle punch, rusty jingle bell

  12. It wouldn't have been the same with just a snippet of that wonderful basketweave paper, Kelly. I'm so glad you decided to break it out in all it's full die cut glory. This is gloriously country with the gingham and rusty bell and beautiful vintage print on the sentiment. What a fantastic job on those multilayered pinecones and needles. You just rocked this wonderful tag! Hugs
