Here is my card:
I wanted to give the feeling of a pretty, kitschy little summer bouquet, all wrapped up in newspaper! I used the Sewing Box-Hugs set for the leaves and flowers. All decorative papers are from the Modern Homemaker Collection by October Afternoon.
Now for the secret surprise! Start by pulling on that top leaf...
Going up!
Ta-dah!
I used sentiments from Say it Loud. I thought they went well with my "Extra Extra" newspaper theme...like a big birthday headline! The little tag on the front of the card has the "happy" part on it, so it reads Happy Birthday Hugs by the time you get to the finale :)
I can't even wait to see what you do with this week's sketch! Upload your creation HERE by next Friday, August 5th, and be sure to use at least one Waltzingmouse Stamps image on your creation. That way you will be eligible to be the randomly-selected player who will win a WMS set of choice!
Supplies:
Stamps: Sewing Box-Hugs, and Say it Loud, both by Waltzingmouse Stamps
Paper: Modern Homemaker Collection, October Afternoon, and Vintage Cream cardstock, Papertrey Ink
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Ladybug Red, and Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress ink
Other: Seed Packet die and Tiny Tags die, both Papertrey Ink, Divine Twine in red, little stickers from Heidi Grace on the flowers, and 47 dimensionals (at least, hee!)
