Here is the gorgeous Trigger photo!
Here is my take...
Oh those colors were just speaking to me! I love the robin's egg blue chair with it's weathered look and that stunning bouquet of peaches and greens!
I used the rose from Waltzingmouse Stamps "Roses in Bloom" stamp set, and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink's "Vintage Picnic Sentiments". The blue papers are a combo of Bermuda by A Muse Studio, and Aqua Mist from Papertrey Ink. I ran the middle piece through my Cuttlebug with PTI's Woodgrain Impression Plate, and then inked it up with Fresh Snow ink. The rose was colored by sponging it with Tim Holtz Distress Inks on watercolor paper. I then cut out several layers and popped them up on dimensionals.
Thanks, Cath for another inspiring Tuesday Trigger!
Oh Kelly, this card is divine. I adore your take on the trigger, but I especially adore how you brought that darling rose to life. Pieced and placed to perfection. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful KellY!!! Great take on the Trigger! +Thanks for your sweet comments!
ReplyDelete+ there's no secret to those flowers - they are simply diecut, distressed and drenched in water and then modelled. I'll get back to you when I find one of the tutorials I've seen for them lately.
Did you see the ones I made from silkpaper? - when I added (a lot of) spray to them they curled up and stiffened - super easy but whith a great result (I think!)
Think Betsy Veldman has another great tutorial now where you uses water for great distressed edges - loved the result she got!
Have a great Sunday/ Karin
