I think that the equation is 30 colors X 200 buttons per pack = 6000 buttons (ACK!)!
Used Papertrey Ink's Quilter's Sampler set and Guide Lines Impression plate. I placed some mini buttons (from JoAnn's) on some of the puffed up quilty panels. The spool has some real thread wound around it, too! As for the ribbon...a huge score today. It's very Fine Linen-like in color and it was in the 50 cent bin, also at JoAnn's!
Love this Kelly! I love that you actually wound the spool with thread.
ReplyDeletewonderful card, kelly! great color combination! will have to go to jo-ann's and check it out one of these days.
ReplyDeleteYou had a really creative idea. I love the way you used those buttons. Can't believe you thought of that, it is really interesting! Did you see the little tiny spools that Mish is selling in her Etsy store? As soon as I saw your card, I thought of them. Great card.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS Kelly!! I LOVE this! I hope you win! Good luck.

Very pretty card. I love how you have used that impression plate with the Quilter's stamp set. That really helps to space the images correctly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea to wrap some real thread around the spool :D.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, love the quilted pattern!
ReplyDeleteFabulous!! Love how you used the buttons in the quilt design! And the thread on the spool plus use of impression plate are great additions.
ReplyDeleteoh, but think how many friends you have and those buttons could find homes in no time...wink, wink! I adore this card and the spool with the pretty 'real' thread! Clever, indeed
