Oldie but Goodie
I FINALLY got the PTI stamp set "Quilter's Sampler". I bought it "used" from a PTI forum member. Once it arrived at my house, I started wondering "What took me so long?!" I used Guide Lines Grid paper to line up my little patchwork squares (worked like a charm!). I colored them in with watercolor pencils and a waterbrush. I then sponged over the whole piece with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress ink. For a final step, I stamped over the whole piece with the Canvas Backgrounder stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms (inked up with PTI Vintage Cream ink). Distressed the edges and "flicked" them up after I taped the piece down, and then it really started to look like fabric! The cute hearts are from the "Text Objects" stamp set by Verve Stamps. This card was for Splitcoaststampers' Color Challenge this week...Cherry Cobbler, Pretty in Pink, and Melon Mambo!
Very pretty card Miss Lady!!! Great to hear from ya and thanks for the kind words on my card in the PC Mag.....I am still in shock that my card is in there...lol!!! Hope you are well...
ReplyDeleteThis is a really gorgeous card and with so many different steps to complete it! You did a great job putting everything together.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I love this card! I would love to have this quilt on my bed. Thanks for explaining the steps to make the quilt more realistic. This is one of those sets that's on my long wish list.
