This week's Color Challenge (#300!) at Splitcoaststampers is to celebrate all of the OTHER 299 color combinations that have been posted! The colors are listed using Stampin Up names, but you are free to substitute whatever papers, patterned papers, inks, markers, and embellishments that you have that are close!
For my first card, I used Color Challenge 53: Chocolate Chip (dark brown), Bashful Blue (light blue), and Certainly Celery (light green). Made my own background paper using PTI's Guide Lines set with the coordinating grid paper, and a little scroll from Faux Ribbon. Also featured the gingerbread man from Holiday Button Bits:
Next up is Color Challenge #90, which was Blush Blossom (light pink), True Thyme (an "olivey" green), and Cranberry Crisp (burgandy/red). I chose Bamboo ink by VersaColor, PTI Scarlet Jewel Ink, and Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress ink. Made the background using PTI's Background Basics: Botanicals, and used Wreath for All Seasons:
Betty challenged us...she said, "I wonder who will do the most different combinations?" Okay, so maybe that was just pondering, but I took it as a CHALLENGE, hee! It was so addicting to go back and see the master list of all those little color blocks in a row. I hope to get to more this week!
I am going to case that Christmas Blessings card. I love it! The lace is so pretty and is the perfect touch for this card.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are very pretty and different. I love gingerbread men because they make me think of baking and child-like images of Christmas. Your second card is beautiful and has a shabby, vintage feel to it. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! They are very pretty. I especially love the wreath card with the lace and the bell. Very gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteBoth of these cards are wonderful! I love the background you created on the first one (great idea with the swirl), and the layout and colours of the second. I haven't been able to get into the leafy wreath as much as the twiggy one, but this card makes me want to use it soon!
ReplyDeletegorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteSoft and lovely. The little bell is a sweet addition.
ReplyDeleteI remember this. In fact, I said I was going to case it...and I did! Still super pretty with the lace. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Kelly, and a fabulous pick for favorites. I love all the stamped background and the gorgeous image! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, what a great choice for a favorite. Love the sponging to make the edges all soft. Shoot, I own two of those sets, but not the third . . . the list grows . . . and grows . . .
