Citrus Throwdown

I chose a citrus theme using The Greetery’s “Lemon Blossom” set…

I created my background with The Greetery’s stunning “Leaves All Around” stencil set. It’s perfect no matter what color scheme you choose, or what you place in the center!

Inspired By…Yellow!

I WAS so inspired by this week’s photo at the  Inspired By Challenge blog that I crafted into the night! I could not pass up the opportunity to create with my favorite color …yellow!

My mind raced with so many products that I could use for this beachy, summery theme!

I used The Greetery’s “Destination: Summer” stamps and dies, “Destination” stencils, “BotaniCuts: Wildflower Mix” dies, the “Curio: Divider & Details II” die, “Shining Light” die, and “Ribbon Maker: Daisy Chain” die, along with Papertrey Ink’s Flipping Out,” “Sand Swatch,” and “Polka Dot Basics” stamps (with some Sizzix embossing folders thrown in)!!

Phew that was a lot of things on one card..but a lot of FUN, too!

Pink Meadow Throwdown

This week at the  Color Throwdown Challenge Blog is a lovely color combination from Amy Rohl…pink, kraft, gray, and white!

With such a soft and warm palette, I chose to make a get well card with The Greetery’s “Spring Meadow” stencils!

Made the “Take Care” sentiment with The Greetery’s Slim Alphabet dies and added a sentiment strip stamped with Papertrey Ink’s “Ways to Say: Get Well.”A few more blossoms cut with the coordinating “Spring Meadow” dies were the perfect finishing touches for this serene background!

Cupcake Throwdown

 Time for another fun challenge at the Color Throwdown ! This week, I love the colors that Broni chose for us…pink, lime, and white!

I chose to use the adorable “Hey Cupcake” dies from The Greetery for my card!

I gave them some serious dimension with adhesive squares on the bottom layers, and bending the wavy frosting on the top into a “dome!” Also used the “Sweet & Fancy Labels” stamps and dies, the outside edge piece of the “Frosted Frame” die,  and the classic  Swiss Dot embossing folder from Cuttlebug. 

I’m hoping you aren’t blinded by the lime, LOL! It was a little difficult to photograph, but is perfectly bright and limey in real life! 😄.

Cake & Sparkler Throwdown

It’s my first time as hostess at the Color Throwdown blog this week! We have a fun and unique color combination for you…dare I say, “The most dramatic color scheme ever!” in my best The Bachelor host’s voice!

The colors are aqua, lilac, orange, and black! Since it’s my first time as hostess, I thought a celebration was in order. So I used The Greetery’s new “Takes the Cake” suite of products on my card…

I inked the “Takes the Cake” stencils with white pigment ink onto a “Takes the Cake: Floral Details” die cut, cut from black cardstock. Once it had dried a bit, I stenciled over the white inked areas with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in shades of aqua, orange, and purple. Also used the Takes the Cake “Banner” and “Cake Stand” dies, and the “Sparkler Background” stamp. Such a beautiful set of products to celebrate birthdays and all kinds of other occasions!

I Saw…a Birthday Party!

I am playing along with the As You See It Challenge this week with the perfect “anti-spring” theme…”new stuff!” Unless, of course you have the mindset, “Out with the old, in with the new” (which is very difficult for crafters 😂)!

The most recent addition(s) to my craft stash are…items from The Greetery’s “Hip Hip Hooray” collection!

Used “Candles Aglow,” the flowers from “Takes the Cake,” and the “Sparkler Background” background stamp. I snuck in some old (“Slim Alphabet” dies) which I used to make a sentiment to match the new!

Sprout Throwdown

Fresh and fun colors this week at the Color Throwdown! Amy chose this lovely photo…a spring “pick me up” kind of palette…sage green, pink, yellow, and brown (that’s my morning kind of scene)!

I chose to make a card featuring other things that “pick me up” each spring…budding flowers, green grass, and sparkling sunshine…!

I used The Greetery’s “Baby Face: Sprout” dies, “Baby Face: Sentiments” stamps, and the glowing rays from “Firefly Nights” heat embossed with white pearl embossing powder.

If you look closely,  I spritzed shimmer spray over the entire card to give it some sunSHINE! The leafy edge was made with Penny Black’s “Leaf Stitched Frame” dies.

Rainbow Sea Sketch

Playing along with Freshly Made Sketchesthis week…

I have a seaworthy take on Narelle’s rainbow inspired sketch of the week!

I used an old set of favorites, the “Salt Air” Collection of stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink, including the “Fauna” stamps and dies, “Flora” dies,” “Reef Builder” dies, and “Sentiments” stamps. Also used Papertrey Ink’s “Text Style: Sand Swatch” mini stamp set and Hero Arts “Ocean Waves Bold Prints” background stamp.
