Fusion Card Challenge: Kindness

At the Fusion Card Challenge is this colorful inspiration with a lovely quote...

I used Papertrey Ink's "Kindness Counts" sentiment set along with "Papillon" from The Stamp Market...

I made a panel by brushing Distress Oxide Inks then tracing circles onto it with a brush and water. When dry, I stamped the butterfly from Papillon onto the inked panel with Versamark, heat embossed with clear powder, then die cut them. Also cut some mini hearts from the same panel, and did a bigger one for the sentiment area, topped with Glossy Accents.

Then I stamped the sentiment along the side, masked it off with purple tape, and sponged a little ink over the top. Some Nuvo Drops and sequins were the finishing touches!

No Line Vine

Tried my hand at some more no line coloring with new products from The Greetery. Used Summer Sketches, Just Mason Around, the Crimped Frame die, and Simple Things!

This card's pieces were created over several different days...maybe weeks! I used Zig Clean Color Markers and a waterbrush...sometimes Inkon3 Fade Out ink, other times Gina K light Amalgam ink in Skeleton Leaves. The Fade Out ink gives the best no line look (the main vine) but is hard to see sometimes, which made this rookie painter frustrated. This card had several elements end up in the trash a few times.

The jar was stamped in Fresh Ink Mint, and AMuse Studio Bermuda and Mermaid inks,  and looked perfectly glassy.😊

Citrus Throwdown

This week at the Color Throwdown were lovely summery citrus colors!

I chose to use The Stamp Market's Citrus Edge diesVine, Skinny Upper Alpha dies, Dear Friend dies, and Plaid Stencil, and The Greetery's Crimped Frame  for my card...

I stenciled the background by brushing Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, and Picked Raspberry.

Die cut the letters and dipped them in Versamark, then heat embossed with white powder for a little shine and pizzazz! The flowers were cut from different types of vellum, and then the centers are cut from layers of the pretty tissue that Betsy Veldman wraps The Greetery purchases in 💗!

Canvas Throwdown

This week at the Color Throwdown, there were fruity summer colors for us to try...

I thought these would be perfect for a little still life scene...

I stamped the oldie "Canvas Backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms in Black Soot Oxide ink, then brushed across the bottom twice with a wet square foam brush. Added  images from The Greetery's  "Robin and Wren," "Oopsie Daisy, and "Just Mason Around."

I splattered white gouache and watered down black acrylic paint over the images to add to the
hand-painted look.

A little twine around the jar, and that's a wrap! 🤗
